Let the December My Time Made Easy Release Peeks Begin!

Hello friends and welcome to my blog today!  I'm so happy you're here because I have a sweet project to share with you all today that I recently designed for the December My Time Made Easy Release!!

Ready, set ... here we go!  Introducing:  Card Wrapper

I am completely smitten with this adorable template and it couldn't be any easier to cut and assemble!  What a GREAT gift idea for those of us who love to make cards -- pretty packaging all rolled up in one sweet template ... ready for you to insert your handmade with love cards and give these as gifts to your family and friends!!

I couldn't help but put my shabby little spin on today's project by inking the edges of the template with paint, sewing on some pretty white crochet trim and then adding a few bits and bobs of treasures from my crafty baskets!  The sweet little bird was cut using the A Little Birdie cut file -- then I inked the edges, added a pearl for her eye and gave her a sheet music wing - LOVE!

And here is a side view of how the Card Wrapper template looks all loaded up with some yummy handmade cards -- ready for giving!

When your recipient unties the ribbon, inside she (or he) will find cards that she can use to send to her own family and friends.  For my project I created a set of four all-occasion cards using the Round Off stamp set along with the Fabulous Frames cut file!

The papers (gorgeous, aren't they??!!) are *new* Christmas Patina along with S'more Smores!

The cards, although layered with lots of goodness, came together relatively quickly assembly line style!

I added a couple of shabby elements such as paper doilies, red baker's twine, glittered chipboard pieces and yummy text ruffles ... just the right amount of goodies -- keeping in mind that they couldn't be too chunky so they would still fit into the Card Wrapper!

This was such a fun project to design and assemble ... I can see me making several more of these to keep on hand for instant gifts all year long!

Please be sure to visit these other designer's blogs for more wonderful inspiration projects they are sharing today:
And don't forget all the amazing ideas you'll find over at the My Time Made Easy DESIGNER'S GALLERY too!!

I'll be back along with the rest of the teamies on Saturday for the BIG RELEASE PARTY ... you won't want to miss a single second of the fun!  See you then!

The Kraft Journal #97!

Edited:  This card featured on Paper Issues today -- thanks ladies!!

Paper Issues Blog Design

Hello friends ... thanks for stopping by today!  I'm here sharing some cards I created for today's 'Holiday Cards' challenge at The Kraft Journal #97!  Enjoy the peeks :)

For today's 'Holiday Cards' challenge, I created a CAS stack of cards -- with a touch of elegance and sparkle!  First, I adhered a base of Buff Ivory card stock onto a slightly larger piece of Brown Kraft card stock.  Next, I embossed a piece of cranberry card stock, inking the edges to create a time-worn look.  To add sparkle, I put a little bit of Stickles onto a paint brush and painted the sparkle onto the raised elements of the embossed pattern.

I die cut an ornament shape from a piece of Buff Ivory card stock and lightly inked the edges with a rose colored ink.  I stamped the holly leaves and sentiment using the Believe! and O' Christmas Tree stamps from Paper Sweeties and then added some cranberry Stickles for the berries.  The ornament was adhered to the base of the card using dimensionals and then a snipett of green satin ribbon was added to 'hang' the ornament along with a button and two sparkly jingle bells tied on with Green Baker's Twine

Please be sure to visit The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog to check out the amazing inspiration from the rest of the teamies and then we hope you'll give our 'Holiday Cards' challenge a try for your chance to win some goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

The Shabby Tea Room #141!

Hello sweeties and welcome to my bloggity blog today!!  I'm tickled to share a little holiday card I designed for this week's The Shabby Tea Room #141 challenge - 'Tic Tac Toe'!

This week Rebekah is our creative host and she has chosen the theme of 'Tic Tac Toe' along with these beautiful photos for DOUBLE inspiration and Rebekah asks that you create a card or project inspired by the COLORS from the inspiration photo AND USING THE TIC TAC TOE TABLE CHOOSING ANY THREE IN A ROW!  *Be sure to let us know in your blog post which three choices you used in your design from the tic tac toe table!

I used "Stitching - Doilie - Mini Tag" from across the top as my three in a row!

And my card was created using the Bugaboo Stamps - Fancy SB Winter digital image along with  Paper Sweeties - Believe! and Sending Holiday Cheer sentiment stamp sets!!  I colored the image with Prisma pencils and gamsol and then liberally sugared the hat, mittens, coat and skates with glitter!!  I stamped the 'Joy!' and 'Noel!' sentiments directly onto patterned paper and then stamped the 'Merry and Bright' onto a kraft tag and adhered it to another piece of patterned paper.

A silver doilie was added for additional sparkle and inspired by the metal blades on the ice skates from the inspiration picture, and last I added a red glitter star wand and a beautiful red grosgrain bow to the card to complete my design!

Please be sure to pop on over and check out the lovely inspiration projects from the rest of the Shabby Girls today ...

Paper Sweeties November Release Wrap Up!

Hello sweeties and welcome today!  I hope you enjoyed peeking at my little projects the past four days created for this month's Paper Sweeties new stamp release!  I can't tell you how much fun I had making projects to share using all the new goodness now available in the Shoppe!  I have to admit that yesterday's Santa's Workshop scene is my favorite ... and today's project runs a close second!!

For today's sweet little project, I used Emma and dressed her in an angel outfit from the Christmas Blessings stamp set!  I stamped the iconic sentiment that I remember from the It's a Wonderful Life holiday movie ... we watch that every Christmas Eve after dinner!!  I framed the sentiment with a silver flourish frame and added a nosegay to the right of it of delicious blooms, a pink pearl button, silver jingle bells and twine.

Emma's angel dress was stamped on pink polka dotted pattern paper, cut out and adhered.  The wings were stamped on pastel blue patterned paper, cut out, glittered and adhered.  I stamped a halo around Emma's head and gave her a magic wand created from a sewing pin and snowflake sticker!

A couple of layers of patterned papers and card stock along with a pink gingham bow and some inking/machine sewing around the edges complete this oh-so sweet holiday card!  I'm smitten ... how about you??

Release Day FUN - Santa Claus is Coming To Town!

Hi Sweeties!  Welcome to the BIG Release Day Party at Paper Sweeties today!  I'm so excited to finally be able to share EIGHT amazing and fun holiday themed stamp sets with you all today!  I hope you fall in love with them all as much as I have!!

So ... without further ado ... I have the sweetest project to share today!  It's a 3-D holiday scene I created using four *new* sets mixed with three older sets!  Ready, set ... here we GO :)

Debuting *new* sets:
Santa Claus
Naughty or Nice?
O' Christmas Tree
Stand Add-on 4

And current sets:
Sweeties Stand

Jake and Sophie as Santa and Mrs. Claus!

And the perfect little Christmas tree for Santa's workshop!

Refreshments for Santa and all the elves after a long day's work making toys!

And Mrs. Claus is offering kisses for Santa for a job well done!

I dressed Sophie as Mrs. Claus using the nightgown outfit from Naughty or Nice?  Jake is dressed as Santa using the Santa Claus stamp set - complete with his pack of toys for the children!  All three pieces were stamped onto patterned paper for easy and quick assembly - no coloring required!  The 'Mistletoe' sign stand is made from a small wooden spool that I painted with Twill paint and then wrapped a snipett of polka dotted Washi tape around the middle.

I stamped the awning and bottom of the Sweeties Stand onto more patterned papers, cut out and adhered to the base of the stand.  I lightly colored the open part of the stand with blue pastel chalk to create 'sky'.  The refreshments, mistletoe and wreath were stamped and colored ... and then I added red Stickles to create berries on the mistletoe!  A gold glittered star was punched and added to the top of the sweet tree ... tree base was colored with red Prisma pencils and Gamsol - love them!!

The toys in Santa's pack were colored with Prisma pencils and Gamsol ... a little smidge of sugary glitter added to create some sparkle!  The tiny polka dots on the sack and Santa's outfit are sparkly too -- so sweet and fun!  Love, love ... LOVE this sweet little scene :)

So there you have it my crafty friends!  This sweet scene is set up on a shelf in my home already so I can walk by it daily and SMILE!  What do you think??
