Let the My Time Made Easy peeks begin!!

My how time flies when you're having FUN!  It seems like I was here just yesterday sharing projects for the August release at My Time Made Easy ... and here we are sharing for September already!  Before we know it the holidays will be nipping at our toes, so we best get on with it and take a look at the project I've prepared for today ... I hope it inspires you to create something fun and unexpected!!

Introducing the:  MUSH-ROOM HOUSE template!

What was that you said ... this doesn't look like a mushroom to you??!!  Well, I promised something unexpected and here you go!  I decided to turn the roof of the Mushroom House upside down and create a pretty little candy dish out of it!  I embossed all the side panels with my favorite Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder from SU!, inked the edges with cream paint to create a time-worn look and then assembled the bowl -- easy peesy!!  I added the scalloped border along the top and then cut out the smallest scallop bottom to the 3-Tier template and adhered it to the bottom of my candy dish for stability.

I wrapped some Ambrosia Cantalope seam binding around the top of the candy dish and then created a pretty little nose gay with more seam binding, to include Pink Bubblegum, a pretty little paper bloom from The Ribbon Reel and some delicious glittered chipboard leaves!  I filled my candy dish with Peanut Butter Lindor Truffles ... soooo yummy :)

And next, I turned the base of the Mushroom House into a vase to coordinate with the candy dish!  I used the same embossing technique on the vase as I did on the candy dish, wrapped a couple of snipetts of seam binding around the top of the vase to create another pretty nose gay, popped some pretty silk roses into the vase and created a flower 'pick' which I stamped using images from the Well Preserved acrylic stamp set - love!

'Handpicked ... just for you' --
I used a scalloped punch on the sentiment
& adhered it to a wooden skewer.
So pretty in real life ... perfect for gift giving!  Great for co-workers, neighbors, teachers, secretaries!

I love the base of the Mushroom House as a vase ... birthdays, anniversaries, and so on!!!   So pretty as table decorations at your next tea party or shower!!!

And here is my {sweet} little set ... yummy and pretty all at the same time!  So, what do you think?  A little unexpected, right??!!

Please be sure to visit these other teamies blogs to check out their amazing inspiration using the Mushroom House template today:

... and then be sure to come back tomorrow for the BIG SEPTEMBER RELEASE PARTY at MY TIME MADE EASY!!

The Kraft Journal #85!

Hello sweeties and welcome to The Kraft Journal #85 - 'Back To School'!  I love to create adorable little projects with a school theme, so today's project was super fun to work on!  I went through my treasure baskets of goodies from The Kraft Outlet Shop and set to work creating this sweet miniature black board and cork board ... enjoy peeking!

I began my design with a piece of cardboard backing from a box onto which I adhered pieces of a Chalkstock Post Card and Corkstock Tile.  Next I covered four popsicle sticks with Lille Paper Tape and adhered them to the base to create a frame around the blackboard.  I created a pretty little banner using Banner Chipboard Pieces and Black Banner Stickers.  Next, I stamped A-B-C's onto the fronts of the banner pieces and then strung them at the top of the blackboard using Red Baker's Twine and cute Tiny Colored Wooden Clothespins.

I added a mini report card to the cork board created using a piece of Yellow Library Card onto which I stamped an 'A+', adhered a glittered gold star and tacked it onto the cork board with a Garnet Stick Pin.  I added a pretty little ruffle at the bottom of the cork board using Ruler Twill Tape and finished my board off by adding a Metal Hinge Clip.

I added a piece of Natural Twill Tape at the top of my project so it could be hung, and lastly I used Buff Ivory Card Stock to stamp an adorable little girl ready for her first day of school holding a set of books tied on with Natural Hemp Cording.  Stamped images are Abigail, So Proud of You, Alphas-Upper and Alphas-Lower from Paper Sweeties.

This project was SO MUCH FUN to create ... I hope you'll hop right over to The Kraft Journal to check out the inspiration from the rest of the teamies and then give our 'Back To School' challenge a try for your chance to win some awesome goodies from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Thanks for stopping by to visit today ... have a wonderful stampy day, my friends!

The Shabby Tea Room #129!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #129 - Summer Cottage'!  Starr is our creative host this week and she has provided this lovely photo for inspiration.  Starr is asking us to create a card or project using the COLORS FROM THE PHOTO, DISTRESSING/SHABBY ELEMENTS and a TITLE or SENTIMENT!

We are doubled sponsored again this week in the Tea Room, so I'll be sharing two little things I created using the yummy goodies provided by our generous sponsors!
First up I have this pretty little card I created using a digital file created especially for the Tea Room challenge this week by Heather Hudson for her My Artistic Adventures Etsy Shop

I used the pink and blue labels from the digital file along with another pretty little floral and polka dotted pattern piece from which I cut leaves for the satin bloom!

Stamped sentiments are from the You Make Me Smile set available at Paper Sweeties!

For my second project, I got to design with the Shabby Chic Banners digital image set created by Janet for her Digital Papers by Janet Etsy Shop!!

I love me a banner and have them hanging all over my house .. they make me smile when I walk by and get to peek at them each day!!  This banner is no exception ... I'm adoring it's soft pink, blue and cream color palette.

These banner pieces are truly breathtaking ... so soft, shabby and stunning!

After creating a backing for the digital banner pennants and distressing them with twill paint, I added some bits and bobs of lace and vintage trims, Lacey Blueberry seam binding and pretty paper blooms from Prima.

To finish my banner, I added six inspiring sentiments using the You Are Fabulous, Mahalo! and You Make Me Smile stamp sets from Paper Sweeties

Quote of the week!

Hello sweeties!!  I don't know about you, but I can get lost for hours on end visiting Pinterest and Facebook ... I so enjoy reading posts and looking at pretty pictures added to these fabulous social media networks!  There is nothing better to do on a gloomy doomy rainy day, but snuggle with my favorite blankie, my laptop and Pinterest!

I was SO INSPIRED by a picture I found on a board I recently started following, that I decided to share it here with you all ... I hope you love it as much as I do!  When I read it, it literally brought tears to my eyes ... I know you all can relate with this -- possibly having had to deal with a life issue that left a bitter taste in your mouth but in the end was a blessing in disguise.  It's sad that we as a society fail to see the blessings in every little thing.  I'm going to print this out and hang it so I can read it daily ... and live by these awesome words of wisdom!

I'll try to post some inspirational words of wisdom for you all to share here weekly ... 'try' is the optimum word ... life sometimes gets in the way of our best intentions.  But, in the end, I'll try to post these inspirational quotes right here on the little 'ol bloggity blog as often as I can as I see them come across the social media sites we all frequent and love!

Please feel free to share anything you find that you'd like to pass along ... pretty things and lovely words passed along from friends just make me smile :)

I hope you all are having a wonderful day filled with blessings ... in disguise!!

The Shabby Tea Room #128!

Hello sweeties and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #128 - 'Shabby Patterns'!  Tammy is our creative host this week and she has chosen this lovely photo for our inspiration ... and Tammy asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS IN THE PHOTO and INCLUDE FLOWERS and DAMASK!

The sponsor in the Tea Room this week is Creations by AR and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to design this week with Adela's beyond adorable Once Upon A Carriage template ... LOVE!!!   I had fun bling-ing up my carriage with rhinestones, damask curtains and teeny tiny organza flower curtain tie backs!!

I just knew right away that my pretty in pink princess carriage needed a {sweet} princess to go with it, so I created a little paper doll using Sophie and dressed her with an outfit from the Some Bunny Loves You stamp set from Paper Sweeties!

What little princess wouldn't love to play with this set!  How cute would these be for party favors for a little girl's birthday party?  Heck ... how about a big girl's birthday party!!  I don't know about you, but I'd LOVE to receive a sweet party favor like this!  I'm such a little girl at heart that simply refuses to grow up!!!

The Ribbon Reel #35!

Hello sweeties and welcome to The Ribbon Reel #35!  This week we are asked to make a 'baby themed' card inspired by the photo COLORS and add a banner or pennant!  FUN!!

I started my design by coming through my treasures baskets of goodies from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

I began by machine stitching a piece of patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Tea For Two paper pad to the white card stock base of  my card.  Next I added a couple snipetts of 12 mm Guipure White Lace trim and 50 mm Guipure White Lace trim -- LOVE!

Next I added some white floral trim onto which I adhered a pretty Blue Tile seam binding bow and a lovely White Cotton button.   I adhered a baby buggy sticker and a couple of matching stars along with another Medium Candy Stripe Blue/White button.  To finish off the front of this card, I stamped 'Hello Baby' onto a piece of white card stock cut in the shape of a pennant and attached it to the floral trim section with a sewing pin.

Inside I added a 'Congratulations!' sentiment ...

... and finished the back of the card off by personalizing it with a 'Hand Stamped by:' sentiment.  All stamp sets from Paper Sweeties.

Please be sure to pop on over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to check out the lovely inspiration created by the rest of the teamies, and then I hope you'll have time to give our 'Baby Theme' challenge a try for your chance to win some awesome goodies from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

Thanks for peeking!
