Create For CARDS spotlight ...

Thank you to Paige and the girls at the Create Blog for spotlighting my card for last week's 'bling' challenge!

Let the My Time Made Easy PEEKS begin ...

Hello friends and welcome to the Sneak Peek Party for the {new} July goodies at My Time Made Easy!!  Everyone on the Design Team has a project to share with you all today, so be sure to click on the links below and visit all the girlies' blogs for lots of fun inspiration!

So, without further ado ... let's get this party started!  I'm pleased to introduce you to the Carry Clutch template!

How absolutely adorable is this sweet purse?  Super easy to make too!!  I cut out all the pieces using my Cricut machine, but equally as easy to cut and assemble with the PDF version of the file and a pair of scissors!  I adore how it has the fasteners that I bling-ed up with rhinestone brads ... looks just like the 'real thing'!!  The {gorgeous} papers are Dainty Damask in Sky - I'm in love with this line -- I adore anything Damask!  I just realized that these papers match the wallpaper on my blog too!

I found a pretty little bling-y button in my stash that worked perfectly for the purse fastener.  I chose to hold my little purse closed with a silver glittered library clip for easy access to the treasures inside (no glue needed)!  The tag is made using the {new} Be Dazzled Digital stamp set upon which I stamped a pretty frame image from the A Lil' Cafe stamp set and then stamped a sentiment from the You've Got Mail stamp set!

My little purse gift is the perfect container to hold this set of bath essentials - color coordinated too!  What a pretty set to leave out in your guest room and have waiting for the next time you have over night guests stay with you!  You'll be sure to make them feel extra special with such a thoughtful gift handmade with love!

I designed a coordinating card  using a piece of paper from the {new} Blooming with Elegance  Collection -Embellished Blossoms!  The papers match the Sky Damask paper perfectly!!  The pretty 3-D bloom was made using the new Blossoming Into Spring cut file which is an entire sheet of different sized blooms.  When cut, scrumpled and glued together, they create a beautiful, realistic flower!  I spritzed mine with blue glimmer mist from Tattered Angels to give it a soft, shimmery look and then added a blue and silver brad in the center.

The sentiment was made using a digital image from the Be Dazzled stamp set and I added some rhinestones for additional bling!!!

And here is my completed gift set!  I love the way this set turned out ... it's really so soft and pretty IRL!!  I'm smitten with these Damask papers ... they will be a 'must have' for your paper collection if you're like me and like pretty vintage damask patterns to design with!

Wish Big ...

Hello all and welcome to this week's challenge at The Beary Scrap Challenge Blog!  We're doing DIY (Do It Yourself) embellishments again this week with a {fun} twist ... add red, white or blue -- I added all three colors to my card to celebrate the upcoming 4th of July Holiday in the US!!!

My DIY embellishment was so much fun to make!  I punched a large star from a snipett of Echo Park's For The Record - Advertisement Collection.   I then punched a smaller star with some cream cardstock and added some pretty Silver German Glass Glitter - yum!  I adhered the smaller, glittered star to the larger newsprint star and glued this onto a pretty seam binding bow!  I bundled up a couple 4mm Rose Buds in white with a piece of blue baker's twine and tucked this little nosegay under the star embellishment.  A sweet red and crystal trinket pin finishes off this pretty adornment!

To further embellish my pretty, patriotic card, I added a lovely little 10mm mulberry paper rose in white and some bling rhinestones from Kaisercraft!   So, there you have it ... a pretty little patriotic lovelie with a hint of vintage charm!

Thanks so much for sharing my creations here at The Beary Scrap Challenge blog during April, May and June with me!  Sadly, this is my final post and the end of my three-month Guest Designer term ... but you can rest assured I'll be back playing along with these fun challenges weekly along with all of YOU!

A big thank you to Kimm and the rest of TBS girlies for allowing to to share this special time creating with the team!  I had a blast and enjoyed every single second of my crafty time here!

Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge - 'Childhood'

Today is a happy day ... I have the honor to share with you a couple cards I designed for my very first Design Team assignment for Crafty Secrets - yippiee!!!!

Our Design Team theme today is called 'Childhood'.  This word conjures up such wonderful memories of days gone by, long summer vacations, playing with my dolls, innocence and ... bliss!

For my first project, I used an adorable Creative Scrap Piece from the Love Mail Collection ... isn't this sweet little girl the most precious little thing you've ever seen!

I've added some bits and bobs of treasures from my baskets - pretty striped grosgrain ribbon, lace trim,  rhinestone swirls, pink pearls from Melissa Frances and a sentiment tag printed with my tag maker.

The striped tag is Melissa Frances, chipboard frame from Tattered Angels and bloomer from Webster's Pages.

Pure 'Bliss'!!!

For my second project, I used another vintage-inspired piece of Creative Scrap from the Sew Nice Collection!  I can remember spending fun-filled days with my sweet grandmy in her tiny little sewing room on the second floor of her home.  She would sew and I would watch her while playing with my dolls at her feet!  Her sewing machine looked just like the one in this photo!  Such beautiful childhood memories of sweet, blissful days!

Swirl rhinestones, lace trim and flowers ...

... Paradise Aqua Mist and Vintage Winter White Shabby Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop, rhinestone bling, tiny envelope/tag and 5th Avenue papers from Melissa Frances, chipboard sewing elements from Maya Road and a sparkler from Webster's Pages.

The pull-out tag is stamped with some adorable buttons, a handmade sentiment and inked to create a time-worn look!

Precious and sweet ... 'Childhood Memories'!

The Shabby Tea Room #68!

Hello sweet bloggity friends ... so happy you could visit for a while today!  Our Week #68 challenge in the Tea Room is hosted by Sheri and called 'My Favorite Things' - create a card or project using your FAVORITE PAPER and EMBELLISHMENTS - wheeeeeeeee, so FUN!!

Well, I pulled out some of my favorite papers to begin with - scrappy pieces from The Girls' Paperie and some digital papers from Etsy.  It is no secret that I adore adding {flowers} to everything I hand craft, so my favorite embellishment just had to be lots of pretty blooms ... in pink, of course! To begin the base of the card, I scrumpled up a kraft lunch bag, cut it to fit and then adhered all the pretty patterned papers onto the lunch bag with machine sewing!

Some more favorites of mine are all the gorgeous Creative Scraps that are available from Crafty Secrets - {swoon}!!  Here I used a tag and lovely scalloped image from the Love Mail Collection!!  I backed the tag on a piece of scrap corrogated cardboard that I inked with cream paint, tied onto the Cake Crumbs Shabby Vintage Seam Binding bow (from my Etsy shop) with some yellow baker's twine, and I backed the scalloped image on a piece of paper doilie - another couple favorite embellishments of mine!!

The addition of a lovely bouquet of pink blossoms and a couple of  'hat' pins,  on top of the beautiful digital image - Fancy Hat #2 - provided by Digi Doodle Shop, our sponsor in the Tea Room this week, completes this happy little shabby design!

Well, when I finished this little charmer, I thought it was much too pretty to leave attached to a card and give away, so I removed the card from the base and adhered it to some fabric to become quilt block #7 for my Art Quilt!

I backed this pretty little treasure on a piece of pink and white gingham fabric from my stash.

I added some pretty yellow buttons and a snipett of a vintage lace hankie that Tammy sent me!

This quilt block is 'so me'!!!  All pink and shabby around the edges (just like me - ha!), hand made from the heart with love with lots of yummy things to peek at!

The Ribbon Reel #5!

Hi all and welcome to The Ribbon Reel Challenge #5!  Today we have a recipe challenge for you all to create with ... 2 or more ribbons and/or trims, at least one brad and a summer fruit - yum!!

We have this pretty inspiration photo to get your mojo going showing just a snipett of the lovely selection of ribbons and trims available at The Ribbon Reel Boutique - {swoon}!!

I used some delicious Ambrosia Seam Binding to make a pretty scrumpled bow!

I machine sewed a strip of Ivory Twill Tape on the base of the card and then machine sewed a stripe of 9 mm Grosgrain Strip Red/Ivory Ribbon along one of the patterned paper borders.  I adhered some Parrot Green Leaf Trim by May Arts along the die cut fence and added two adorable yellow flower brads.  I added some delicious Avalanche Pom-Pom Trim along the bottom of the seed packet.

Patterned papers from Graphic 45, stamps and dies from PTI, seed packet back on Kraft cardstock, trinket pins from Maya Road, garden fruit images are Creative Scraps - Garden Collection - from Crafty Secrets.

Webster's I Spy Celebration Week ...

Just too much fun ... Webster's is having a fun little Celebration this week surrounding the launch of some new goodies!  Click HERE to join in on the fun yourself :)

Happy spying!!!

With Love ...

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's challenge at The Beary Scrap Challenge Blog!  We're making DIY (Do It Yourself) goodies again this week ... {swoon}!  I adore to make my own embellies and pile them high on the paper crafting projects!   So much fun and adds such a special, personal touch!

My entire project today is a DIY - another handmade quilt block for my Art Quilt - #5!  The special DIY embellishment I added to my block is this gorgeous 3-D flower.  I  started with some lovely patterned papers from Prima's Botanical Collection and die cut 8 layers using the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz.  I scrumpled the layers to add dimension and give the bloom a more realistic look and added a pretty Prima Trellis Rose Lemon Creme flower to the center.

I added more blooms across the center portion of the quilt block - alternating between the Trellis Rose Lemon Cream and Trellis Rose Fontaine flowers from Prima.  I stamped the sentiment (Vintage Ornaments from WMS) and label (Holiday Labels No. 14 from WMS), then die cut, inked with some twill paint and added a couple Latte Pearls from Kaisercraft!   A few more bobbles and bits of beautiful 4" vintage lace trim, vintage buttons and twine, trinket pins in sweet yellow and aqua, a couple of glittered leaves in green, a patch of sunny yellow polka dotted fabric ( from my Art Quilt partner, Tammy!) and some delicious seam binding that I hand tea-stained completes this yummy block!

And here is my completed Art Quilt Block ... handmade {With Love}!!

Thanks for peeking in today -- have a wonderful stampy day!

Carrots and Oranges ... Oh My!

These Carrot Cookies with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting are my {new favorite} cookie ... so sweet, relatively healthy and pretty too!!

I made a batch of these last Saturday and they were gone by Monday -- cookie monsters in my house ... including me!!!  I substituted Smart Balance Butter Spread Sticks (for butter), egg whites for (whole egg) and low fat cream cheese to make these more heart healthy for my hubby.  I have a pot of carrots on the stove cooking as we speak for batch number two today!!

Edited:  for today's batch I added some uncooked oatmeal and walnuts to the batter -- more heart healthy ingredients for the hubby to enjoy :)

Scrumptious yumminess!  Enjoy!

Busy behind the scenes the past couple of days with lots and lots of DT stuff.  Will share soon!!

The Shabby Tea Room #67!

Hi all and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #67 - 'Classic Patterns'!  Danielle is our fabby host this week and she has chosen this {yummy} photo as inspiration for us all to create with ...

... delicious, right??!!??  Danielle asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS in the photo and use POLKA DOTS AND/OR GINGHAM!  Sooooo fun :)

I chose to create another block for my Art Quilt for today's Shabby project!  I also was inspired not only by all those yummy polka dots AND gingham, but also by the bright and cheery tones of pinks, greens and yellows from the inspo pic - my favs! My image is stamped using the Tea with Bella PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations ... isn't it sooo pretty!  I colored it with pastel chalks and glittered the leaves on the cup and roses down below - yum!

Lots of shabby goodness here - the sentiment is also from the Tea with Bella set and the stamped flourish is from  My Mind's Eye - Laundry Line that I got from The Beary Scrap Paper Crafting Boutique.  The pretty Baby Pink Berry Shabby Vintage Seam Binding is from my Etsy Shop and I included some lace trim, buttons, pearls, twine, a trinket pin, a chipboard heart glittered with pink glitter glass and a pretty bloom from Prima!  The yellow gingham fence was cut using my Cricut and the doilie and scalloped border dies are from MFT.

Patterned papers are from The Girls' Paperie and Jillbean Soup.  I adhered the entire design onto a pink and white piece of gingham fabric that I cut by hand to leave a raggity edge look and then machine stitched some zig-zags all along the border to frame the paper crafted design.  I'm lovin' how mixy-matchy these art quilt blocks are coming out by using fabric and paper, trims and stamping on them all.  All of my favorite things!

Our sponsor in the Tea Room this week is Joan's Gardens!  Joan was kind enough to provide each of the Shabby Girls with a lovely stamp set from Heartfelt Creations to design with this week ... AND, Heartfelt Creations has been super generous to provide the prize package for our lucky winner with a retail value of $134.99 and includes all of the Bella Rose stamps and the Bella Rose die!!!
Besides the Heartfelt Creations prize package for the winner, Joan's Gardens would like to also offer our Shabby Tea Room followers a $5.00 discount on any orders over $25.00Be sure to mention Shabby Tea Room Discount when placing your order.
