The 12 Days of Christmas ... Day 8 -- meets The Pink Elephant!

Good morning peeps and welcome to the Winter Wonderland December Challenge at The Pink Elephant and Day #8 of my holiday home tour!!  For my design team project, I chose to showcase a Christmas Countdown platter that I have been lovingly adding to for the past two holiday seasons!

I purchased the vintage cream platter from Home Goods a couple years back and adhered the vinyl countdown letters from Stampin' Up!   I cut cardstock from Very Vanilla, Real Read and Old Olive and adhered the countdown numbers 1 - 25.  Each numbered tag has a tiny embellishment ... snowflakes, brads, flowers, buttons, etc., and is held onto the platter by a tiny library clip.  I tied on 3 lengths of gorgeous wide striped grosgrain ribbons on each handle in Real Read and Old Olive.

Next came the fun part ... embellishing the platter!  Each year since I originally made this platter, I continue to add embellishments and found treasures!

This glittered snowman is adorable surrounded by sparkly buttons and felt snowflakes!

Those little mittens are glittered with red tinsel glitter and that tiny tree has green and gold glitter!

A beautiful Prima flower here is adorned with some dazzling diamonds glitter, Prima leaves, pearl trinket pin from Maya Road and some chocolate chip glittered chipboard from Making Memories.

I {heart} this sweet rhinestone tree!  Thanks for peeking at my Winter Wonderland Christmas Countdown.  Hop on over to TPE blog to be inspired by what Ella's Girls have created this week and then give this fun challenge a try!!
