Last one for ya'll tonight! This card was super fun to make ... lots of steps and it came out so pretty IRL!
First, I made some more DSP with the Certainly Celery background paper by stamping a floral image in Melon Mambo; I distressed and inked the edges to give it a vintage look. The next layer is Whisper White CS that I embossed, cut with pinking sheers and inked the edges. On top of that layer, I tied some 'Strawberry Shortcake' Shabby Vintage Seam Binding from my Etsy shop!
The next layer is Whisper White CS again, distressed and inked. On top of that I ran some Melon Mambo DSP from the SU! Razzleberry Lemonade line through the Big Shot using the Petals a Plenty embossing folder and then sanded it lightly to reveal the white beneath!
Next layer is Whisper White again; pinked the edges and then added a seed packet on top of {Sweet William} flower seeds - super cute!
My embellies are a handmade spiral flower using Pink Pirouette textured cardstock layered on top of two green leaves. Second embellie is a cute gingham birdie stamped on Pink Pirouette cardstock and inked in Certainly Celery. He is sitting on a Whisper White cardstock branch I punched with the Large Two Step SU! punch. Last embellie is the oval sentiment inked with Certainly Celery and stamped on Pink Pirouette; inked edges to finish it off.
WOW ... so many layers --- this card is stunning in person; the picture does not do it justice!
Challenges I used to create this design:
1. Cute Card Thursday #109 - sketch
2. Caardvarks - new card, monochromatic & creative use of cardstock
3. Crafty Creations #65 - create your own DSP background
4. Papertake Weekly - 'different'
5. Curtain Call #27 - color/melon mambo, pink pirouette, certainly celery, white
6. Our Creative Corner - blossoms
7. Stampin' Royalty #17 - punches
8. Paper Sundaes #15 - 3 DSP's, 2 CS's, 1 flower
9. Pile It On #16 - {sweet} birthday card - 'Sweet William' seed packet!
Nite :)
