Sugared Winter Fun!

Isn't this sweet creation so pretty? It was another fun and quick design made with my new Cricut Create! I just LOVE those ice skates - they remind me of hours upon hours of fun I had growing up spending time ice skating either on the home-made ice rink at my aunt and uncle's home down the street or in later years at the ice skating rink with my girlfriends :)

The glitter on the skates and snowflakes reminds me of how the sun used to glisten off the ice and snow ... such fun winter time memories and such a fun and fabulous winter time card ... ENJOY :)

2 Sketches 4 U - weekly challenge!

Here is my take on this week's card challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 U. Isn't she just the cutest little snow lady you've ever seen? I made her using my new Cricut Create along with some of my other favorite toys like Cuttlebug embossing folders, chipboard, sewing machine, glitter, twine & buttons.

Enjoy :)

Webster's Pages ... Vintage Snow!

Isn't this just about one of the most beautiful things you've ever seen? Really ... so soft, glittery, elegant and warm with it's color scheme of creme, white and chocolate brown. I'm in LOVE :) the camera doesn't really do this lovely creation justice -- it's much prettier in person!

I created this picture frame shadow box for a challenge over at Webster's Pages called 12 Days of Christmas Crop. What FUN!! Each day, one of their designer's posts a project related to the holidays. Then, if you're inspired by it enough to play along, you go and create a like project using the original post for your inspiration! I saw a couple of the shadow box projects and loved them so much that I was inspired to create one of my own!!! This will become a treasured keepsake in my home for many years to come!

2009 All Day Holiday Stamp!

WOW ... today we had our 3rd annual All Day Holiday Stamping Day of Fun at the clubhouse in my neighborhood! This year's event had 13 in attendance. Everyone brought several food items to share with the group and we had enough food to feed an army. We feasted on some delicious goodies while spending 6 wonderful hours working on our holiday cards! It was HEAVEN :)

I managed to finish up my cards ... I completed 50 of the above designs. This year's card was very intricate with many steps including cutting patterned papers, die cutting/spray painting/adhesive and glitter to chipboard snowflakes, stamping, punching, adding bling like rinestones, stickles, buttons, ribbons and elastic cording. What was I thinking??? BUT, they did come out beautiful. I'm sure they'll cost a fortune to mail, but well worth it when the recipients receive their little holiday surprise packages in the mail from our family this year!!

I'm already looking forward to next year's annual event. We may have to do a Christmas in July event to get ready for the big Stamp Day in November!! Thanks to all in attendance ... we had a ball!!

Vintage NOEL!

I just love the holidays and especially Christmas! I'll be starting to pull out and put up some of the eight trees that adorn the rooms in my home next week! Typically, by the end of Thanksgiving weekend, I have everything up, lit and festive looking so then I can sit back, relax and enjoy the month of December ... hosting parties and cookie exchanges and going to visit friends and enjoying the season :)

Here is another sweet little creation that came out of my craft room today. It was a lazy and mostly unproductive Veteran's Day here - my youngest son was home from school and had his girlfriend over for the afternoon, so I spent it making a big pot of warm, yummy chili and parmesan biscuits for us all to feast on and stay warm and dry in the house while the tropical storm was raging outside our windows. So nice to stay in and do 'nothing'. Well, you know what I mean, I *never* 'do nothing', but it was nice nevertheless to relax and move at a slower place than usual! Just love those kinds of days and sure do wish there were more of them!!

Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Merry Moments (SU!); DSP - Webster's Pages
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories - pom pom trim (Bazzill), vintage lace trim (Webster's), Glimmer Chips & Glimmer Mist sprays (Tattered Angels), flower embellishments (Prima), vintage trinket pin (Maya Road), micro-chip stickers/white chocolate chip (Basic Grey), gold elastic cord, glitter (SU!), mica flakes (Martha Stewart), vintage button (PTI), fabric & pearl flower from my stash, vintage print (on-line).

Wow ... how exciting! One of the My Timeless Templates that I made using Lauren Meader's awesome downloadable templates received October Honorable Mention for Best Use of a Template over at Papertrey Ink! Isn't that so cool??? I used the 'Get a Handle On It' template, decorated it with a 'tea party' theme using PTI's Tea For Two stamp set and filled the boxes with tea bags, chocolates and shortbread tea cookies. Each guest at the tea party I hosted for my friends received one of these cute little favor boxes at their place setting and took them home as a rememberance of the day! Click on the link above to view all the other winners and honorable mentions in each of the categories.

Happy Stamping :)

Jolly By Golly 'Santa Wish Lists'!!!

Aren't these just precious? They are Santa Wish Lists for young and old! The outside of the pocket is decorated with patterened papers and chipboard from Cosmo Cricket/Jolly By Golly. The inside of the pocket (free dowload on Nichole Heady's blog) includes one note pad in creamy vanilla! The pens are from Office Max and filled with more patterned papers inside.
These little "Thrify Gifties" were a featured project today on the Cosmo Cricket Blog ... check it out -- SOOOOOO COOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!

Gotta put one of those in my purse so I can jot down all my wish list favorites and send my list off to Santa this year :)
