Dream, Wish, Believe - Pinspired #6!

Hi ya' sweeties!  I have some very exciting news to share with you all today -- Paper Sweeties is sponsoring the current challenge at Pinspired -- whoot, whoot!!! I was so tickled when I saw the pin inspiration for this week -- pink and glitter, oh my!!

Here I used the You Make Me Smile stamp set from Paper Sweeties to stamp the sentiment inside a pretty little die cut and added some rhinestone bling inspired by the silvery looking glitter in the photo!

And I added a pretty little bloom from Prima in two-tone pink with glitter on the edges of the petals!  More bling from a few rhinestones, a silver paper doilie and a couple of Jenni Bowlin trinket pins - love!!  The beautiful white satin ribbon with silver edge is from The Ribbon Reel.

Hippity hop on over to check out the amazing inspiration provided by the Pinspired Design Teamies this week ... and then I hope you'll give this fun challenge a try for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties shoppe!

Hugs and Kisses ... TKJ #114

Hi ya' sweeties!  I'm here today sharing a little something I created for this week's The Kraft Journal #114 - 'Chick's Rule' challenge!  I began with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock onto which I layered a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock and then a couple of pieces of patterned papers from the Kraft & Black Cardstock Pad.  The layers were secured with some machine zig-zag stitching.  Next, I added a piece of polka dotted washi tape to the top of the card and created a banner using Black Wooden Clothespins, Pink Baker's Twine, Buff Ivory Card Stock and the Banner Wishes & Alphas Lower stamp sets from Paper Sweeties

I added a layer of ruffled crepe paper and then tied a bow around the card using some Ruler Twill Ribbon.  A Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag was stamped with another sentiment from the Banner Wishes set and tied around the middle of the bow.  Last, I stamped Abigail onto some Buff Ivory Card Stock, colored and cut her out, and then dressed her in a pretty little dress, bonnet and ballet slippers from the Jelly Bean Time stamp set!

Please visit The Kraft Journal challenge blog to check out the yummy inspiration created by the rest of the teamies for this week's 'Chick's Rule' challenge ... and then we hope you'll have time to play along for your chance to win a fabulous prize package from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

I used the current Paper Sweeties Sketch Inspiration #5 for the layout of my card:

The Shabby Tea Room #158!

Hello stampy friends!  Welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #158 - ANYTHING GOES!  Lenet is our creative host this week and she is giving us all free license to create anything our heart desires .. how fun is that!!!

My bestie recently became a first time grandmy, so I was inspired to create a birth announcement wall hanging for her to celebrate the special occasion!

I got the frame from the craft store and painted it white.  I stamped hot pink polka dots around the frame and added some iridescent glitter to make it sparkle and shine!  The hot pink satin bloom is just gorgeous IRL -- the blingy pearl center is just beautiful!  I added a couple of white satin leaves.

I backed the frame with some soft pink damask patterned paper and added a white paper doilie and some rouched ribbon trim from The Ribbon Reel.

The baby's name and date of birth was stamped using the Fancy Monograms set from Paper Sweeties!  This set was just released this month and is fast becoming a 'favorite' among the Paper Sweeties fans ... the font is just beautiful and the alpha stamps are so versatile and fun to create just about anything with!

Please be sure to visit the rest of the Shabby Girls' blogs to check out their amazing projects this week:

Put on a party dress ...

Hi ya'll!  How is your Sunday going ... I hope you're finding time to relax and get some crafty time in today!  Monday and Tuesday I'm teaching my monthly card classes, so I'm popping in quick to share one of the cards with you today!

I recently purchased the new pop up card dies from SU! and couldn't wait to give them a little go!  So fun to play with ... I love a pop up card!  I cut out the base of the card and then decorated the front cover with a paper doilie onto which I stamped a sentiment using the Paper Sweeties So Sweet of You stamp set.

Next I created a couple of banners and stamped a sentiment from the You're Invited sentiment set.

And on the inside of the card is where the magic happens!  What a fun surprise awaiting the recipient of this card when she opens it and finds this pretty little dress on a form decorated with lace, pearls, rhinestones and embossing!

I cut the pop up background using a pretty floral patterned paper to mimic wallpaper.  Then I die cut the dress form shape using black card stock and die cut the dress using vanilla card stock.  It was fun to decorate the little paper pieced dress with embossing, lace, a satin flower, pearls and rhinestones before I adhered it to the stand ... so girly and fun!

And last, I stamped another sentiment from the Join Me For Tea sentiment stamp set and adhered it onto a couple of card stock pieces that I punched with fancy border punches to complete the look of this pretty and feminine card!

Have you made a pop up card in the past?  If not, you'll certainly want to give one a try ... so much fun for both you on the creative side and your recipient on the receiving side!!

Thanks for stopping by today ... happy creating my stampy friends!
