My Time Made Easy - Fairy Tale Dreams!

Hello friends ... welcome to my lil ol' bloggity blog today!  I'm tickled that you stopped by today for a little peek ... I'm super excited to begin the peeks for the February My Time Made Easy release!  If you're a girlie girl at heart or the mom of a girlie girl, you're going to LOVE this month's release!

So, without further ado, let's get right to it!

Introducing *new*:  Castle in the Clouds

Precious, right?  Lauren has done it again!!!  I am completely smitten with this absolutely adorable template and had a blast assembling it!  Wouldn't this be just perfect for the centerpiece at a little girl's birthday party ... or even a baby shower??!!

I decorated my sweet little princess castle with lots of bits and bobs of treasures -- pearls and clear crystal buttons, pink satin flowers and rhinestones, a pink trinket pin and Flower Soft 'shrubs' ... plus lots of mixy-matchy embossing to create more dimension and realistic elements!   I also used a couple of decorative layer elements from the *new* Fit for a Princess template, which I will be showing right here on Friday!

I stamped 'curtains' on all the tower windows and colored them with an aqua marker!  I turned some of the decorative layer pieces meant to be more tower windows upside down and used them to create a scalloped border on the front of the castle over the door!  I adorned the scalloped with crystal buttons and pearls!

The facade of the castle was embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder and then I inked over the raised parts with cream paint to create an olde-world look!  The tower trim pieces were embossed with a polka dot embossing folder - yummy, right?!   I created shrubs with some green Flower Soft and used two decorative layer pieces meant to be flag holders to create lamp posts with a pearl on top of each for the globe!

This adorable template couldn't be any more sweeter -- it has already found a very special spot in my craft room so I can display and enjoy it every day!  My craft room is decorated in pink, aqua and apple green, so this set fits in perfectly!!

My Castle in the Clouds comes complete with a prince and princess too!  Here, I stamped, colored and decorated a couple images from Paper Sweeties to coordinate with my castle gift box!

I used these Paper Sweeties sets to compliment the Castle in the Clouds template:

Abigail
Jake
Dream a Little Dream
You're My Prince Charming
Banner Wishes
Stand Add-on 5

The perfect little royal couple to live in the darling Castle in the Clouds!!!

Please be sure to pop on over and check out the a-mazing inspiration projects some of the rest of the teamies have created today:
... and don't forget to pay a visit to the My Time Made Easy DESIGNER'S GALLERY for loads more inspiration using all of the goodies available in Lauren's shop!

A couple more teamies will be sharing peek projects tomorrow, and then the entire creative team will be sharing on Friday for the big release party ... you won't want to miss a single second of the inspiration and fun!

See you back here again on Friday to share my *new* Fit for a Princess project!

Hugs!

The Kraft Journal #106!

For today's 'Nothing but Kraft' challenge#106 at The Kraft Journal, I began with a base of Brown Kraft Card Stock onto which I layered a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock that was embossed, inked and a machine zig-zag stitch was used to adhere the embossed piece to the base.  Next, I covered a Card Sleeve Envelope with some Music Note Washi Tape and adhered it to the base.

A pretty bloom was made using dies with a couple of scrap pieces of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock -- the layers were adhered together and a resin floral piece was added to the center of the bloom.  A heart shape was die cut from Cork and I did some additional machine sewing around the edges before adhering the heart to the card.  A bit of Kraft tulle, a couple of Antique Stick Pins and a pretty Kraft ticket were added to complete the pretty Kraft nosegay.

I created a sweet little tag that pulls out of the Washi Tape covered Card Sleeve Envelope by inking the edges and stamping a sentiment using the So Sweet of You stamp set from Paper Sweeties.  A snipett of Burlap was added for additional texture and then I glued a Chipboard Button on top of the Burlap.  Last, I stamped a heart shape using the Snow Friends stamp set directly onto a scrap piece of Cork, cut it out and adhered it on top of the Chipboard Button.  A length of Natural Twill Tape was added to the top of the tag to complete my design.

Please be sure to hop on over to check out the a-mazing inspiration projects the rest of the teamies have designed for this week's 'Nothing But Kraft' challenge ... and then we hope you'll have time to play along for your chance to win some awesomeness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

The Shabby Tea Room #151!

Hello friends and welcome to my bloggity blog today!  I'm thrilled to be here sharing a sweet little something I recently created for this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #151 - 'Cute as a Button'!  I'm our host this week and I'm asking that we create a card or project using the COLORS FROM THE INSPIRATION PHOTO AND INCLUDE BUTTONS!

Our Tea Room sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and I created a sweet little mitten shaped gift filled with hot cocoa and marshmallows using their Winter Circle Sentiments: Warm Wishes!
I cut out a mitten shape from some scrap red cotton material and machine sewed around the edges with a zig-zag stitch.  I added a ruffle of the sweetest striped material and added some white pom-pom trim on top of that to look like snowballs!!  Three sweet buttons were added to the cuff.

I created a pretty little nosegay using an aqua glittered paper flower with two pink velvet leaves, both from Prima.  The tag was stamped using a fun set from  Paper Sweeties called Stand Add-on 4

And there you have it, my friends!  A sweet little gift set - perfect for winter gift giving!!  I am completely smitten with this warm and cozy little mitten shaped pocket ... and I adore hot cocoa with marshmallows -- yummy!!

I have vowed to start {early} this year making holiday cards and gifts!  So here is a little set I recently created to add to my stash ... I can't wait to hear what you think about my shabby little set!!

The tag was stamped using the Little Wishes stamp set from Paper Sweeties!

Lots of bits and bobs of treasures from my crafty baskets!  The precious little bird was punched using a SU! punch (my favorite) and then I added an ivory resin flower for her wing!

Rhinestone berries were added to the die cut pink wreath and a bow was created using Vintage Winter White and Pink Bubblegum seam binding from the shoppe!

I created a matching gift box sleeve -- tag stamped using the Banner Wishes and You Make Me Smile stamp sets!

So sparkly and sweet ... LOVE!!!  My favorite color palette - pink, aqua and white/cream!!!

Winter's Butterflies ...

Hi friends!  I have a quick little something to share with you all before I have to dash out the door.  I'm teaching card classes the next two days and this is one of the cards we'll be making at the classes!

The sentiment is from the Friendship Warms the Heart set from Paper Sweeties!  I used the new small butterfly punch from the SU! Spring Mini Catalog - punched on Espresso Core'dinations card stock and sanded after embossing with a polka dot embossing folder!

I love this snowflake embossing folder from SU!!  I embossed a couple pieces of Pool Party Core'dinations card stock and then sanded it for a time-worn look! A couple of pearls added to the centers of the snowflakes pick up the dots in the grosgrain ribbon trim and complete the look!

Thank you so much for stopping by today for a little visit ... I hope you're all having a wonderful stampy day!

The Shabby Tea Room #150

Hello my sweet stampy friends and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #150 - 'Just Pretty'!  This week Tracey is our creative host and she has chosen this lovely photo for inspiration!  Tracey asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS in the photo and include STRIPES and a FLOWER!  Love it :)

I adore this delicious color palette and find myself turning to it often when I create little sweet nothings out of paper and glue!  I layered my card today with so many yummy bits and bobs of trinkets from my crafty baskets ... a snipett of vintage crochet lace trim, a paper doilie, pearls, tulle, pearl trinket pins, a button, glittered jingle bells and felt leaves - oh my!!  Those a-mazing flowers are cut files from My Time Made Easy called Rolled Bloom Scalloped!  I added ivory satin blooms to the center of the rolled flowers to give them a bit more texture!

The beautiful Damask patterned paper is from the BFF Valentine collection and I stamped the adorable little tag using a sentiment and shape from the Little Wishes stamp set from Paper Sweeties!

So, what do you think ... is it 'Just Pretty'??

The Ribbon Reel #45!

Hello friends ... I hope you all had a perfectly wonderful weekend -- full of relaxation and fun!  Did you do anything special!  Us ... after having out-of-town company from 12/26 through 1/14, we have the house back to 'just the two of us' with some quiet time to regroup ... although another round of company arrives on 1/30 to stay for three days again!  I have entertaining and hosting company ... but I need to get my ducks in a row and get organized so I'm prepared :)  The holidays really seemed to sneak up on me this year and I wasn't as ready for them as I would have liked.  Note to self:  start holiday preparations for 2013 in July this year!!!

So, this week for The Ribbon Reel challenge blog #45 we have the theme of 'Homespun' with this yummy photo for inspiration and we're asking everyone to create a card or project inspired by the photo and include burlap and ribbon!

I love anything homespun!  To me it evokes feelings of warm, soft and comfy quilts with mixy matchy fabrics and plaid patterns.  It is warm apple pie smells, rooms lit by candlelight and dark, rich colors like navy and red.  Homespun offers plenty of rustic charm -- antiques and crochet fabrics!  Yum, right??!!

For today's card, here are the goodies I used from The Ribbon Reel Shop:

The the {sweet} little tag was stamped using a tag and sentiments from the Little Wishes set from Paper Sweeties!

Please be sure to hop on over to The Ribbon Reel challenge blog to check out the yummy inspiration projects the rest of the teamies have prepared for your enjoyment today and then we hope you'll play along with our 'Homespun' challenge for your chance to win some awesome goodness from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

Paper Sweeties January Release Wrap Up!

My how time flies when you're having FUN!  I can hardly believe we're putting yet another *new* stamp release for Paper Sweeties behind us today.  It's been a fast four days of project shares from the Sweeties Teamies -- such inspiration and so much fun!

I have one final project to share with you for the January Release Festivities ... I hope it makes you smile!

For today's little share, I made a birthday party invitation -- in a princess theme by creating a pink castle using these Paper Sweeties stamp sets:

What fun to use all the elements from the Stand-Add on 5 set to turn the Sweeties Stand into a castle!  I included clouds from the Happy Fall Ya'll set that I stamped on pretty polka dotted paper from Doodlebug Designs - cute!  The shrubs at the foundation of my castle are white paper flowers and the grass is die cut from some green glitter paper!  I used rhinestones for curtain tie backs and the front door knob!

I colored the different elements with markers and used more striped patterned paper for the castle roof!

For the stamped sentiments on this party invitation, I used the You're Invited set!

And then personalized my handmade party invitation using a sentiment from the Hand Stamped by: set!
