create something fun today!
Hello crafty friends! Well, TODAY'S THE DAY ... I'm heading out to Charlotte, NC today with my very good friend, Suzi, for the Creating Keepsakes Convention! The truck is packed to the roof and I'm so excited to be attending the show with the Paper Sweeties! I hope to see many of you there ... and I look forward to meeting new friends along the way too!
Welcome to the Paper Sweeties August *new* stampRELEASE PARTY! Today we have FIVE fun and whimsical new sets debuting in
the boutique ... and brand new this month -- we now have DIEStoo!! I've been keeping this little tidbit under my hat for a while now and am so excited to finally be able to share the news with everyone! Our new DIES are called SWEET CUTS! This month we are releasing four new dies to coordinate with the Sweeties paper dolls - Abigail, Emma, Sophie and Jake!!!!
Easy as 1-2-3 ... stamp, cut, dress and decorate as desired!
The card was created using the *new* Thanks Berry Much stamp set along with Emma! It couldn't be any easier now to play with your paper dolls and outfits ... I stamped Emma onto white cardstock and then die cut her using the *new* Emma Sweet Cut die :)
Then I had a ton of fun dressing Emma in her new outfit from the Thanks Berry Much set! I paper pieced the pinafore top using some yellow and white polka dotted paper. I colored the bloomers, bows, ruffles and ballet shoes using Prismacolor Pencils with Gamsol and then dressed Emma ... isn't she just darling??!! I colored her rosey cheeks using pink chalk and a Q-tip!
The sentiment banner was stamped using images from the Thanks Berry Much set and I added a yummy strawberry onto the top of the ribbon & bow that I made using air dry clay and a mold from Martha Stewart! The patterned papers are some of my favorites from October Afternoon ... and I added a snipett of red & white gingham check washi tape from Martha Stewart to complete my card!
I made a little gift to go along with my card ...
... using a frame from the Beautiful stamp set and a sentiment from the Thanks Berry Much set!

Hello Sweeties!! Today I have a card to share with you all that I recently created for the for the Paper Sweeties August *new* Stamp Release! This new set is called A Friend Is and is a CKC Show exclusive! What that means is that I will be promoting this stamp at the CKC show this weekend, and although it is part of the August new stamp release at Paper Sweeties, it won't be available for sale in the shop until Sunday the 18th when I return from the show!
This set contains two frames with beautiful sentiments inside them and two additional scroll work images to help you create beautiful tags, cards, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, gifts and more!
I also used another new set for the border on the bottom of the card called ... Borders! I love this bright and cheery color palette of hot pink and aqua, don't you??? These two new sets have quickly gone to the top of my favorite's list ... and I know you will love them too!

Today I'm showcasing a project I recently created using the *new*Grab Bagtemplate!
I am smitten with this completely adorable and sweet little template -- so much fun to
create with ... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it to pieces! Super easy peesy to cut and assemble! Went together in a snap and then I had a ball adding bits and bobs of treasures to decorate mine!
I added a decorative paper layer using the Buttons-n-Bits paper pack and then stamped a sweet little sentiment tag using the Well Preserved stamp set! Additionally, I added some pretty gingham and daisy floral trim, a pretty organza flower, sweet embossed leaves and a pretty flair button!
Please hop on over and check out the rest of the teamies' projects they have created for today's Release Party:
Hello sweet crafty friends! I'm
so glad you stopped by for a little visit today!! I'm here today
sharing a little something I
recently created for the new sketch challenge this month at Paper Sweeties!
Paper Sweeties Sketch Inspiration #10!
I used these fun sets from Paper Sweeties to create my card:
I created this little back-to-school theme card for my oldest son, Brandon, who will be leaving in a couple weeks to move to Philadelphia, PA to attend grad school at Drexel University! I AM so proud of him having worked hard during undergrad school at NCSU and now working toward his Masters degree in Bio-Medical Engineering ... SO PROUD!
I'll be traveling with him up to PA in a couple weeks to assist with the move into his apartment and to help get him all set up. I miss him already ... sigh :( Do you think he'll smile when he receives this card from mama???
visit the Paper Sweeties blog to check out the a-mazing inspiration
created by the rest of the Sweeties Teamies and this month's guest
designer ... and then we hope you'll play along this month for your chance
to win a $20 gift certificate to the boutique!!
