The Kraft Journal #102!

Hello friends and welcome to The Kraft Journal #102 - 'Something New'!   I used some *new* stamp sets released this month at Paper Sweeties on my card today!

I began with a base of white card stock onto which I layered hot pink card stock and Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock - inking all edges and adding machine sewing.  I created a banner using Chipboard Banner Pieces and Black Banner Stickers onto which I stamped letters from the Alphas-Upper stamp set.  The Banners were 'strung' onto some Pink Baker's Twine and Tiny Wooden Clothespins were added to anchor the twine.  A paper doilie and hot pink snowflake were added to the middle of the card base.  I stamped a little snowlady and sentiment from the *new* Snow Friends and *new* Let It Snow stamp sets from Paper Sweeties.  Last, a length of White Twill Tape was added to the bottom corner along with a hot pink button, more Pink Baker's Twine and two silver jingle bells.

Please be sure to pop on over to The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog to check out the *new* inspiration from the rest of the teamies this week ... and then we hope you'll give our 'Something New' challenge a try this week for your chance to win some delicious goodness from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

The Shabby Tea Room #146!

Hello sweeties and welcome today!  Today I'm here to share a project with you for the Week #146 'Favorite Tea Room Project' challenge!  This is a free week -- share anything that you created in 2012 for The Shabby Tea Room challenges that is your 'favorite' project.  If you haven't created anything this year for the Tea Room, share anything that you like -- new or old!

For today's sweet little project, I used Emma and dressed her in an angel outfit from the Christmas Blessings stamp set!  I stamped the iconic sentiment that I remember from the It's a Wonderful Life holiday movie ... we watch that movie every Christmas Eve after dinner -- so this card was perfect to share here with you all today on Christmas Eve 2012!!  I framed the sentiment with a silver flourish frame and added a nosegay to the right of it of delicious blooms, a pink pearl button, silver jingle bells and twine.

Emma's angel dress was stamped on pink polka dotted pattern paper, cut out and adhered.  The wings were stamped on pastel blue patterned paper, cut out, glittered and adhered.  I stamped a halo around Emma's head and gave her a magic wand created from a sewing pin and snowflake sticker!

A couple of layers of patterned papers and card stock along with a pink gingham bow and some inking/machine sewing around the edges complete this oh-so sweet holiday card!  I'm smitten ... how about you??

Please be sure to pop on over and visit the other Shabby Girls this week to check out their amazing inspiration projects:

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Create for CARDS spotlight with the Paper Sweeties!

Hello stampy friends!  Oh my shabby goodness ... five days until Christmas!  Are you ready yet?  Yesterday, I spent the entire day with my sons -- power shopping!  It's an annual tradition the three of us do each year the week before Christmas after they arrive back home from college -- we leave early in the day and head out to shop, have lunch, shop some more and then go out for dinner!  We got all our shopping done in one day and then when we got home, Mama made them some peppermint fudge to snack on in the evening!  Wrapping presents today ... I just LOVE the holidays!!

I'm delighted to share this little fella with you again that was spotlighted on the Create CARDS Blog today for their December Card Challenge!  I also created this sweet gingerbread man for The Ribbon Reel's current #43 challenge - Nordic Noel!  The tag was created using the Little Wishes and Sending Holiday Cheer stamp sets from Paper Sweeties!   You can view my materials list HERE.

I also am tickled to share that another card spotlighted today on the Create CARDS Blog was designed by Jinny Newlin using these Paper Sweeties sets:   Sophie, Wagon Add-on 2, Let It Snow and Snow Friends!

Thank you SO MUCH to the lovely ladies at the Create CARDS Blog for spotlighting these Sweeties creations!!!

Have a wonderful day ... enjoy the season!!

The Kraft Journal #101!

Hello friends and welcome to The Kraft Journal #101 - 'Favorite Project of 2012'!  How much FUN is that??!!  I'm delighted to share a sweet little something I created for my very first Kraft Journal project -- it's near and dear to my heart because this project is where I began this amazing journey as a designer for The Kraft Outlet Shop!  I LOVE the amazing goodies you'll find on the shelves in the shop and simply adore Beth, the DT coordinator, and all my Kraft-y Teamies too -- what an AMAZING group of ladies!  It's hard to believe that I first Guest Designed for The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog back in November of 2011 and joined this wonderful team in January of 2012 -- I'll be celebrating my one year anniversary here in two weeks!  My how time flies when you're having so much fun!  I'm blessed to be a small part of this extraordinary team :)

For this little card I first adhered some pretty patterned papers with a machine sewn zig-zag stitch to a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock for the base of my card.  I sewed a snipett of Ruler Twill Ribbon to a Card Sleeve Envelope, inked the edges with cream paint and adhered to the card base.  Next I stamped the word 'friend' on a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock and tied it around the stamped dress form image with Red Baker's Twine.  Lastely, I stamped a couple more images onto some Buff Ivory Cardstock, die cut them and adhered one to the front of the Card Sleeve Envelope and slipped one inside the envelope -- added a piece of tea-stained twill tape as the pull.  The addition of a pretty blossom, a couple Garnet Stick Pins and a pretty sparkler complete this design!

I hope you enjoyed this 're-visit' of my favorite project from The Kraft Journal 2012!  Here's looking to ANOTHER fun year of inspiration and creativity for The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Be sure to pop on over to the challenge blog to check out the other teamies favs too!

Paper Sweeties December Release Party!!

Hi ya' sweeties and welcome to my blog today!  I'm tickled {pink} to share a sweet little something with you all today that I created for today's release party fun and festivities at Paper Sweeties!!

Today, Abigail is dressed up in her oh-so pretty in pink winter coat with heart-shaped buttons and fur trimmed collar and cuffs from the *new* Let It Snow stamp set!  She is wearing her matching fur-trimmed hat adorned with a pink satin bloom -- the coat and hat were stamped on patterned paper for quick assembly!  She has sweet little pink mittens on and the cutest rosey cheeks from being out in the frosty cold air!

Tonight, Abigail is ice skating through the winter snowflakes! She couldn't wait to put her new pink skates on!!  Aren't her green polka dotted tights sweet ... and she is carrying a sprig of mistletoe with pink berries from the Stand Add-on 4 stamp set!   The presents wrapped to match Abigail's outfit are from the Wagon Add-on 1 stamp set and all those yummy snowflakes were stamped using the *new* Snow Friends stamp set -- they were stamped with versamark ink and then embossed with white embossing powder.

To finish off Abigail's little scene, I wrapped a length of pink grosgrain ribbon around the card and tied it into a pretty bow ... then I added a chipboard sentiment in coordinating colors.  So FUN!!!

Paper Sweeties December Release {peeks} - Day 2!

Hello sweeties!!  Welcome to Day #2 of {peeks} for the Paper Sweeties December *new* stamp release!  Tomorrow's the BIG day -- hurrah!!

For today's inspiration project, I created a little gift bag with hot cocoa, mini marshmallows and Ghirardelli peppermint chocolate inside!

I wrapped some silver cording around the chocolate and tied on a sweet little tag created using the Little Wishes stamp set.

The bag topper was created with a pretty paper doilie, a glittered chipboard snowflake, a scrumptious white satin bloom, a couple of red and white polka dotted leaves, a fun chenille candy cane, a button and two sweet jingle bells tied on with baker's twine!

I stamped the cute sentiment directly onto the kraft and polka dotted bag using the *new* Friendship Warms the Heart stamp set.

And I had so much fun creating a sweet little scene using the *new* Snow Friends and Wagon Add-on 2 stamp sets!!   The tree was die cut and embossed.  I cut snow drifts out of glittered chipboard paper and added some 'real' snowballs using white pom-poms!!

I just adore this little Frosty the Snowman ... especially his hat with holly leaves and berries!

So, there you have it my friends!  A treat suitable for giving to anyone on your gift-giving list this season ... quick and easy to make -- you can whip up a couple of them to have on hand!!

Please visit the Paper Sweeties blog to check out the A-MAZING projects created by the rest of the Sweeties Teamies -- these ladies are so creative and clever ... I am in awe!!

Let the December Paper Sweeties {peeks} begin!!

Hello friends and welcome to my blog today!  I hope you all are just about ready for the upcoming holidays ... less than two weeks until Christmas -- time is just flying by!!

I'm super excited to share a little set I recently created for the December *new* stamp release at Paper Sweeties!  I used an older set in combination with a brand new set and created a snow-y themed gift perfect to give to family and friends all winter long!

We made these sweet snowmen treats for my bunco holiday party this past Sunday!  My little poodle eats chicken baby food for dinner each night, so I always have an abundance of tiny little jars that I usually recycle with the trash each week, but when I saw these adorable little snowmen on Pinterest a few months back, I just knew we had to make some!  The sentiment on the tag was stamped using the Stand Add-on 4 set ... just perfect for this little fella!!

The top jar is filled with mini marshmallows, the middle jar is filled with some Toffee Coffee Cocoa from Tastefully Simple and the bottom jar is filled with peppermint candies!!  Super easy and fun to make these little men ... the girls and I had an assembly line of them going on Sunday!!

Next I created a coordinating card for my little snowman gift using a sentiment from the brand *new* Friendship Warms The Heart set - available on December 15th!  I am smitten with this sweet saying ... I included a red and white damask butterfly on top of my glittered snowflake, a red bloomer, a chenille candy cane and some jingle bells tied on with baker's twine - yum!

And here you have it ... my snow-y themed gift set -- ready to be given out over the holidays to that 'special someone'!!

Please visit the Paper Sweeties blog to check out the A-MAZING projects created by the rest of the Sweeties Teamies -- these ladies are so creative and clever ... I am in awe!!
