The Ribbon Reel #38!

Hello friends and welcome to The Ribbon Reel #38 - 'Damask Delight'!  I am our host this week and I have asked that we create a card or project inspired by the neutral COLOR PALETTE in the photo and INCLUDE DAMASK, RIBBON and/or LACE.

I began today's card by inking and glittering this pretty chipboard frame and then stamped a sentiment using the So Sweet of You set from Paper Sweeties to put inside the frame!  The patterned papers I used are from Crate!

I had so much fun creating this card using a delicious handful of goodies from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

And here is my finished card ... so elegant with that gorgeous satin ribbon and beautiful crocheted lace trim -- love it :)

Please be sure to hop on over to check out the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the teamies, and then we hope you'll have time to give our 'Damask Delight' challenge a try for your chance to win an awesome prize package from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

Thank you so much for stopping by today ... have a wonderful stampy day!

Let the October My Time Made Easy PEEKS Begin!!

Hello sweeties and welcome to my little 'ol bloggity blog today!  You are in for such a treat this month when you lay your eyes on the beautiful creations Lauren has designed for the October My Time Made Easy Release ... pure eye candy that I 'know' you will want to treat yourself to for all of your holiday decorating and gift giving!!

So, without further ado, I have the pleasure of sharing a little peek of a brand new template that will be available for purchase on October 1st ... introducing WREATH OF WISHES!

Swoon!!!  I had asked Lauren if she might create something along the lines of a wreath last holiday season ... not really thinking it would be 'possible' ... a wreath out of card stock -- that just sounded very difficult.  But ... not for the queen of templates ... NO ma'am!!  Lauren has hit a home run with this absolutely precious and adorable wreath gift box!  I'm completely smitten :)

And, of course, I had to put my little 'Debbie' spin on my version of the wreath and load it up with lots of shabby goodness ... and pink too!  I decorate with a lot of winter white and pink around the holidays, so this color palette was near and dear to my heart ... and I had so much fun creating this little sweetie pie :)

After assembling the box bottom, I embossed the lid top and then assembled the rim.  I inked the raised embossing with pink paint to create a time-worn look and then adhered some cream and pink trim around the edge of the lid.  I glued some pink buttons around the top of the wreath in clusters to look like berries - yum!

The tag was stamped using a sentiment from the Secret Santa stamp set -- edges distressed and inked to continue the vintage feel of this box.

I added a sweet ribbon bow made of music notes to mimic the 'Jingle Bells' holiday song, and then added a couple more bits and bobs of delicious treasures ... berries, a pretty paper bloom, jingle bells tied on with button twine and a snipett of pink tulle.

Now, ladies, you have to agree with me ... this pretty little wreath box would make an awesome addition to a winter bridal shower or holiday tea party as favors ... don't you think so??!!  Smitten I tell ya'!!!

Please be sure to make a stop at each of these designers' blogs to check out the projects they have created for your inspiration today:

... and then pop on over to the My Time Made Easy DESIGNER'S GALLERY for some more beautiful inspiration using the amazing products you'll find in Lauren's Shop!

A couple more teamies will be back tomorrow sharing some peeks and then the entire team will be sharing an entire line up of projects on Monday for the BIG RELEASE PARTY!  You won't want to miss a single second of the fun ... see you then!!

The Kraft Journal #89!

For today's 'Clean and Simple' challenge at The Kraft Journal, I began with a base of Buff Ivory Card Stock onto which I layered a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock.  On top of that, I layered another piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock which I die cut and embossed with a scalloped border.  I created a pretty 3-D flower by adhered several strips of Venice Gaffer Tape onto a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock and then die cut a spiral flower shape, rolled and glued together.  Leaves were cut from a couple snipetts of Burlap and adhered under the flower.  I created a tag stamped with a sentiment from the You're My Hero set from Paper Sweeties which was stamped on a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock, layered on top of a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock and attached with a Memo Pin.

You won't want to miss a single peek of inspiration you'll find this week from the teamies on The Kraft Journal challenge blogYummy-licious goodness :)

We hope you'll have time to play along with our 'Clean and Simple' challenge this week for your chance to win an awesome prize package from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

The Shabby Tea Room #133!

Hello sweeties and welcome to The Shabby Tea Room #133 - 'The White Challenge'!  This week Lenet is our creative host and she is challenging us to create a card or project inspired by this beautiful photo and to USE WHITE PLUS ONLY ONE ADDITIONAL COLOR (you may include additional neutrals such as cream, kraft, brown or black)!

For my project this week, I used white, cream, kraft, black and brown ... and my ONE additional color is orange!  I filled a white polka dotted kraft bag with a couple of yummy fall goodies and then tied a length of tea-stained hem tape around the top of the bag.  I attached a cute tag stamped using the Little Wishes and Too Cute To Spook stamp sets from Paper Sweeties and then tied it onto the bow with a rusty jingle bell and twill button twine.

I added a delicious glittered jack-o-lantern sticker - so sparkly and pretty!!  For the stem, I found a stick in my backyard and hot glued it onto the top of the pumpkin.  I adhered an organza flower, a pearl trinket pin and a couple of leaves made from cream canvas.  To finish my sweet treat fall bag, I added a couple scrap pieces of vintage lace trim, pearls and a white paper doile ... and then I stamped the 'Happy Halloween' sentiment using the Spooky Wishes stamp set from Paper Sweeties and machine sewed a zig-zag stitch along the bottom of the kraft bag.

A little bit of spooky ... and a lotta sweet!  This was so much fun to make ... I think I'll make a couple more to give to friends this fall season :)

The Kraft Journal #88!

Hello friends and welcome to my blog today!  I'm happy to share a little something I created for The Kraft Journal #88 - 'Lavish Layers' challenge!!  I hope you enjoy my card :)

I began my design with a base of Buff Ivory Card Stock inked around the edges.  For the second layer, I inked the edges of a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock and then layered a piece of Decorative Tape and a couple pieces of patterned papers, machine sewing around all the edges.  I added a pretty paper doilie and then tied some Red Baker's Twine around the middle of the card.  I stamped a heart image and sentiment from the Paper Sweeties Little Wishes set, tied it onto the Red Baker's Twine and added a Tiny Colored Wooden  Clothespin.

I created an envelope made from polka dotted pattern paper and inside I inserted a heart die cut from Cork onto which I machine sewed a snipett of lace trim.  I cut out two leaves from Vintage Dictionary Pages and then adhered them along with a white felt flower.  Last, I added two Garnet Stick Pins to the top of the nosegay to complete my layered design.

And there you have it my stampy friends ... a lavishly layered little card!!

Please be sure to pop on over to The Kraft Journal challenge blog to check out the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the talented teamies!!

I hope you'll have time this week to join in on the fun of our 'Lavish Layers' challenge for your chance to win an awesome prize package from The Kraft Outlet Shop!

Paper Sweeties September Release Wrap Up!

Hi friends ... happy Sunday to you all!  It has been a glorious weekend here in NC - beautiful pre-fall weather which means sunny and warm days with lower humidity -- LOVE it :)  I hope you have had a wonderful weekend filled with all the people and things you love the most!

Too bad my hubby is still recovering from shoulder surgery this past Wednesday ... he is miserable and confined to the house ... he's in a great deal of pain and a bit of a bear to be around.

So ... I've been spending a lot of time since he came home from the hospital crafting and letting him rest ... except when I'm playing nurse and waiting on his every need!  You really don't realize how much you use your two arms/hands all day long ... until you can't use them both!

Well, the Sweeties Teamies and I have just a couple more projects to share with you all today to wrap up our fun September Release!  Abigail, Emma, Sophie ... and Jake have quite a cute array of outfits to choose from now ... have you visited the Paper Sweeties Shoppe to check everything out yet??

For this card, I used Sophie, Best Witches! and Too Cute To Spook in my design along with Lilac Lace and Vintage Winter White Seam  Binding!  This little 'Sweetie' was designed with the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz movie in mind ... I can just hear her saying ... 'I'll get you my little pretty ... and your little dog too!'  One of my all-time favorite movies EVER!!!

I have enjoyed sharing a few projects with you over the past couple of days made using some of the *new* stamps released in September.  I thank you for visiting and leaving kind comments!

We are still offering FREE SHIPPING in the Shoppe today to help celebrate this release ... and all orders placed today will automatically receive a complimentary sentiment stamp included with your order!

Plans are already underway for the October release which will be chock full of yummy fall and Thanksgiving themed outfits, accessories for the Sweeties and sentiment sets.  I can't wait to share it all with you :)

Until next time, happy stamping my friends!

Paper Sweeties September Release Party!

Hello to all my stampy friends!  I hope you have a nice day planned for your Saturday ... and I hope it involves something crafty and FUN :)

I'm so excited to be here sharing with you today all of the yummies now available in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe for the September Release!  There are 12  *new* sets available for all of your crafting pleasure ... including the addition of a Paper Sweeties boy doll named Jake, some sweet Halloween outfit sets and some perfect all-occasion sentiments sets too!

The project I'm sharing today is a sweet Halloween outfit I designed inspired by this sweet little fella from my Boyd's Bear collection!  The coordinating 'pumpkin cookies' are a sweet find I discovered last fall at a local shop that I just adore -- always filled with yummy candles, gorgeous folk art decorations, table runners, rustic furniture ... and more!  It's called the Rusty Bucket in downtown Apex and I could just live in that little shop!  The 'cookies' are made from fabric and scented like pumpkin - yum :)

So here you see Abigail dressed in her outfit from the Too Cute To Spook set!  This little cutie pie makes me smile!!  She is carrying a trick or treat bag and ready for some Halloween fun!  I cut slits in the pumpkin costume for Abigail's hands to peek out so she could hold her candy bag!!

The sentiments were stamped using the Too Cute To Spook and Little Wishes stamps sets ... and the seam binding is Ambrosia Cantalope and Mint Green Tea from the Shoppe!

It is so much FUN to play with the Paper Sweeties dolls and outfits!  Dressing them up and changing their outfits brings back such wonderful childhood memories of when I was a little girl playing with my beloved paper dolls -- they were my favorite toy and I used to get new ones every time I was sick.  It was a great thing to be able to do to occupy my time while sick in bed -- I have such vivid memories of me and my little dollies!!

We are offering a couple of specials over at the Shoppe for this weekend's September Release Party:

FREE SHIPPING today and tomorrow (September 15th and 16th).  Just use the 'FREE SHIPPING' coupon code at check out.

All orders placed this weekend will receive a complimentary stamp sentiment included with your order (sentiments will be added to your package randomly when shipped).

Thanks for peeking in today.  Be sure to visit the Paper Sweeties BLOG to check out the amazing projects that the rest of the Sweeties teamies have created for your inspiration today!

Have you made something using anything from the Paper Sweeties Shoppe?  Send me a picture or link -- we would love to feature you and your project on our blog :)

I'll be back again tomorrow with one more project to share from the *new* September stamp line up ... see you then!
