The Kraft Journal #69!

Welcome to The Kraft Journal #69 - 'Use Any Sketch'!  WOW -- what an awesome challenge we have for you this week ... full creative license to go out and find any sketch that catches your fancy and create something fabulous with it for your chance to win!!

For today's 'Use Any Sketch' challenge, I created my card based on the current inspiration photo layout at CASE Study.  I began this card with a layer of Brown Kraft Card Stock as the base, layered with a piece of white card stock and next layered with another piece of Brown Kraft Card Stock which I embossed and inked to create definition and corner rounded all card stock pieces.  Next, I layered rows of Lille Paper Tape onto a scrap piece of Brown Kraft Card Stock to create the tag shape - snipping the bottom ends into bunny ears.  A Yellow Library Card was stamped in a pink floral pattern on the left side, a sentiment was stamped on the top right corner and machine sewing was added for more dimension.  A Hinge Clip was painted with creme paint and added to the Yellow Library Card and a sweet pink satin bloom was adhered under the clip.

Lastly, I created a pretty little floral embellishment with a paper doilie, a couple piece of chipboard pieces, a tiny butterfly die cut from a snipett of Brown Kraft Card Stock and layered with a Tiny Bottle Cap, button and twine.

Now ... let's see what yummy sketches you can find to create with this week!  Remember, in order for your submission to be eligible, you must use Kraft card stock or any item from The Kraft Outlet Shop!  Be sure to hop on over to The Kraft Journal to check out the awesome inspiration from the other teamies this week!

Thanks for peeking in today!

Hugs!

The Ribbon Reel #27!

Welcome friends to The Ribbon Reel #27 - 'Pretty Muted Pastels'!  We are to be inspired by this photo for our new challenge and create a card or project using the pastel colors from the picture and include blue, ribbon/lace/twine and a button!

I used the current Mojo Monday sketch to begin the design of my card ... and I decided to think outside the box.  I figured most everyone would be using patterned papers cut into small squares for a literal interpretation of the sketch.  I decided to dig into my Ribbon Reel Shop treasure basket and create an out-of-the-box grid pattern with some pretty May Arts Light Blue Loop Trim!

I made a pretty bow using some Pink and Blue Seam Binding and added a lovely  Cornflower Blue Gardenia Blossom to the nosegay!

I included a pretty butterfly with sewing pin antennae and a pretty little tag tied on with a button and Pink Button Twine.

Please be sure to hop on over to check out the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the teamies and then I hope you'll have time to give our 'Pretty Muted Pastels' challenge a try this week for your chance to win the awesome prize package from The Ribbon Reel Shop!

My Time Made Easy - A Day for Dad!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to the first day of peeks for the amazing May Release at My Time Made Easy!!  I'm super excited to share all the projects I've created with the new goodies that will be available in the shop beginning on May 1st ... Lauren continues to out-do herself each and every month!

Today's peek project had me going WAY outside my usual feminine, pink, frilly, shabby and vintage comfort zone to create this ultra masculine and SUPER CA-UTE gift set for my hubby!

Introducing ... BLUE COLLAR!

Unbelievably CUTE, right???  This template was easy peesy to assemble -- mine came together in less than five minutes and then I spent a couple more minutes decorating the top to look like my hubby's favorite Corvette Camp Shirt!  His 'baby' is his 2008 Black Corvette, so for the first Christmas after he purchased his car, I got him a shirt that looks almost identical to this!  I went onto one of the Corvette websites and downloaded a racing emblem graphic, resized it to fit my camp shirt gift box and adhered it onto the front of the shirt!!

{This was us last Halloween heading out to a costume party!}

My hubby's second love after his car is his golf game, so I thought it was perfect to include a couple sleeves of golf balls and tees inside his cute little Corvette Camp Shirt gift box!!

It'll be hard to wait until June for Father's Day to roll around to give this to him!

This template is BEYOND perfect for any gift you need for any man in your life -- I'm lovin' it!

Next, I needed a matching masculine card to go along with the little gift set, so I printed off a sentiment sheet from the new Dad's Day to Relax stamp set and used this perfect golf themed sentiment.   I die cut a circle and them embossed it with tiny polka dots to resemble a golf ball, adhered a golf tee and a couple of ribbons and a tag to complete the design!

It's a perfect match to my Blue Collar gift set!

I just know he'll get a kick out of it all and display the gift set pieces on his desk to admire for the future after he enjoys using the contents!!

I'm completely smitten ... how about you??!!??

Please hop on over to check out the fun inspiration some of the other teamies have to share with you today:
