The Shabby Tea Room #136!

Hello friends and welcome!  I'm so happy you're here -- what did you do this weekend ... anything special?  I hope you got some crafty time in too :)  I was treated the past five days to having my youngest son home visiting from GA where he has been the past five months completing an internship program for college ... I miss my baby so much {insert sad mommy face here}!  He came home to play in the club championship golf tournament at the golf course that we live on ... and he WON!  Happy dance for Justin - xoxoxox!!!!

So, onto a bit of stampy goodness next!  I'm tickled to share a sweet little card I created for this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room #136 - 'Rustic Elegance'.  Rebecca is our creative host this week and she has chosen this gorgeous photo for our inspiration.  Rebecca asks that we create a card or project inspired by the COLORS IN THE PHOTO AND INCLUDED SOMETHING RUSTIC AND SOMETHING ELEGANT!  Too much fun :)

One of the sponsors for the Tea Room Challenge this week is Digital Papers by Janet Etsy and I was lucky enough to be able to create with some goodness from Janet's Shabby Chic Background collage - so pretty!

I stamped the sentiments using a couple sets from Paper Sweeties!  The sentiment is from the *new* You Are Simply The Best -- released in the Shoppe today -- stamp set and the tag was stamped using the Banner Wishes set!!  My 'rustic' items are the rusty jingle bell, old book page angel wings and woodgrain patterned paper ruffle.  My elegant items are a white paper doilie, silver chipboard star and pearl trinket pin.  I'm not sure if the Cameo Beige Sugar seam binding bow is rustic or elegant ... or both ... but it sure is pretty!!

And there you have it, sweeties ... my interpretation of Rustic Elegance!!

Please be sure to visit the other Shabby Girls' blogs to check out their amazing inspiration projects this week:

Lenet Mos - To Scrap or Not to Scrap, That's the Question

Rebecca Deeprose - Paper Primrose

Rebekah Faries - Midnite Lullabies Studio

Starr Timmons - The Paper Chase

Tracey Kelly - Trace Elementz

... and then we hope you'll have time this week to give our Rustic Elegance challenge a try for your chance to win one of TWO prize packages graciously donated this week by Digital Papers by Janet Etsy and Frost It Pink!

Thanks for stopping by today ... have a wonderful stampy day my friends :)
