Paper Sweeties August Release wrap up!

Well, sweeties ... I have one last project to share with you today designed for the Paper Sweeties August Release!  I think this is my favorite of all the sweetness I've created to date with these cutie patootie stamps ... have fun peeking and let me know what you think :)

So, I combed through my stash and found this neat little chipboard clipboard and it dawned on me that it would make the most adorable little school themed message center ... so I set to work!  I covered the chipboard backing with some aqua graph paper and then wrapped some satin ruler ribbon around the top and tied it into a pretty bow!  A couple of red buttons and twine complete the top!

Next, I cut a piece of chalk board sticky back paper from Stampin' Up! and adhered it to my message center under the clip.  I added a scalloped cut piece of cream card stock onto which I stamped a sentiment from the So Proud of You set!  I added some cute apple satin ribbon as a border on the bottom of the chalk board and then tied a piece of chalk onto the side of my message center, securing it with a white metal binder clip.

For the bottom part of my message center, I cut a piece of cork board from Stampin' Up! and adhered it to the clipboard.  Next I die cut another piece of cream card stock, punched the side with a ledger punch and then stamped some alphabet letters along the side using the Alphas-Upper set.  Last, I stamped a couple more sentiments from the So Proud of You set onto cream card stock banners and tacked them onto the board using red heart shaped brads as my 'thumb tacks' (I clipped the ends of the brads off just a smidge so they would be the depth of the cork board).  Super cute, right?

I had to add a Sweetie to my message center, and I must admit, Emma is my favorite!  I dressed her in a cute back-to-school outfit from the So Proud of You set stamping the sweater on red patterned paper and then stamping the plaid skirt on cream card stock.  I love her black Mary Jane shoes that I turned into patent leather by coloring with a black glitter marker!  Emma has her school books all tied neatly on a stack with button twine ... and even a sweet little apple for her teacher for the first day of school :)

And there you have it ... my school theme message center ready for hanging on the wall somewhere convenient so I can jot down notes on the chalk board and attach important bits and bobs to the cork board!  So, what do you think???  I'm smitten!!!
