Let the August My Time Made Easy Peeks Begin!

Hello all and welcome to the sneak peeks for Lauren's My Time Made Easy Shop!  July just flew by and now August is just about here.  Before we know it, it'll be fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas - YIKES!  But, before we get too far ahead, let's take a look at what goodies will be available for you to craft with in August!

Introducing ... It's In The Bag!

This absolutely sweet template is an exact replica of a back pack that any school-aged child will be sporting in the coming weeks when heading back for the new school year!  Just too cute :)  It even has a tiny additional pocket on the front just like a real back pack might have!  This miniature replica can be given to a teacher -- the smaller front pocket could be filled with paper clips or stickers and the main compartment might be filled with crayons, scissors, staples, pens ... or a gift card to Office Max or Starbucks!

I bet any school-aged child might like receiving this sweet treat filled with age appropriate goodies too!

And just look at how realistic this pack looks with those adorable straps on the back!!  The front small pocket is decorated with some polka dotted blue duck tape from my stash and the main pack is decorated with some {new}  papers available in August called Under the Cabana!

For the matching card, I used more of the Under the Cabana papers to coordinate and then printed off a few of the digital images from the {new} Back to School stamp set!  Don't you love that sweet ruler and tiny apple!!

And the sentiment, printed and die cut with Spellbinders dies, is just the perfect way to show that special teacher how appreciative you are for taking such good care of your children this year!!

Teachers are very special people ... so patient and kind.  We can never do 'enough' to show our thanks ... hopefully this sweet little set will help you to create the perfect gift to show your appreciation to that special teacher in your life this year :)

Be sure to check out what the other teamies have created for you to peek at today too ...

Hello all and welcome to today's edition of the Saturday Sketch Challenge for Kaisercraft!  I have the pleasure of sharing a layout I designed using the new Blae & Ivy Collection!!

I immediately fell in love with the new Blae & Ivy Collection the minute I laid eyes on it!  So soft, so shabby, so pretty and romantic!  I adore how the pieces in this collection coordinate so well with the pop of hot pink in this layout I created as a gift for a friend of mine … this year was her daughter’s first Easter – what a precious little bunny, don’t you think?!?

Kaisercraft Materials:  Blae & Ivy Collection – Field (P696), Mineral (P693), Sky (P698), Valley (P699), Mystic Cove (P697), Sticker Sheet (SS106), Journal Tags (JT623); Pearl Strip – White (PLS01); Paper Tags & Shapes – Manilla (EM924); Lace Pack – White (EM926); Mounting Foam Dots (T302); Pearls – Snow (SB794); Rub Ons – Moments (RB904); Clear Stamps – Alpha Date (CS787), Vintage Script (CS782).

Other Supplies:  seam binding, satin flowers, ribbon, cardstock, paper doilies, border punch.

Be sure to 'hop' on over to the Kaisercraft Blog to see more inspiration from the teamies today!  I hope you have time to give our Saturday Sketch Challenge a try :)

With Sincere Gratitude ...

Oh my shabby goodness ... will you look at this beautiful blog!  I cannot take any of the credit for all this loveliness ... it is all compliments of my sweet bloggity friend, Viola Mahr!  This precious girlie lives in Singapore and is brilliant when it comes to all things graphic design and computers!  I've been admiring my friends' blogs who have had makeovers from Vi recently like Melissa Phillips, Tammy Roberts, Geri Freeman and Pattie Goldman, so I contacted Vi this past week to see if she could take the existing elements from my blog and create a signature line and maybe a post divider for my blog posts.

Well, Vi went way above and beyond!  She pointed out that it looked like my blog banner was distorted a bit -- my fault for being tech challenged and not knowing how to figure out how to fit the banner to the screen properly!  I stretched it in a software editing program and it ended up distorting and I didn't know how to fix.  I was happy to just know how to enter the banner into the blog - ha!

Well, before I knew it, this sweetheart was asking me what some of my favorite things and hobbies were  ... and then she created this oh-so-beautiful place for me and my friends to come to gain creativity and inspiration from.  Isn't it MAGNIFICENT??!!??

I shared with Viola that I adore paper crafting (of course) along with sewing, and some of my favorite things are vintage and shabby, tickets and seam binding, roses and hydrangeas, buttons and bows, jewelry and treasures!  Vi was able to incorporate all of my favorite things into these custom blog pieces to create a completely stunning package that I am over the moon about!

It was Vi's idea to take the title of my blog ... Simple Treasures ... and create a vintage treasure box complete with a key!  How precious is that?

I don't know about you girlies, but I'm smitten with it all and just too tickled that I am the proud owner of a Viola Mahr original custom blog design!

I just adore that sweet girlie :)  She is a selfless and precious spirit!

Thanks for peeking in today ... I hope you're all having a wonderful stampy day!

Little Toot - My Boys - Beyond the Page!

Hi all and welcome to another project I'm sharing today using one of the {new} in July collections from Kaisercraft ... meet Little Toot!

This collection is perfect for anyone that needs to create a project, layout or cards in a masculine theme!  It would make adorable little boy party goodies -- banners, party favors, hats and such!!  Since my 'little boys' are grown and in their twenties, I had to get creative and spin all the sweet little charming embellishments included in this fun collection toward a more grown-up masculine theme!

Here is my take on Little Toot ...

... I dug out a favorite photo of mine of my hubby and two sons while golfing at the world famous Turtle Bay Golf Resort on the beautiful north shore coast line of Oahu, Hawaii!  We vacationed in Oahu, Hawaii for ten glorious days during the summer of 2008 and had a blast!!

I was especially tickled when each of my mens' outfits coordinated so nicely with the colors in the Toot Toot Collection!!!

I gave this special keepsake photo frame to my hubby and he took it to work and hung it on the wall in his office ... such a sweet memory box of such a happy family memory!  A treasure :)

Kaisercraft Materials List:  Little Toot Collection 12" x 12" papers: Bumper (P692), Traffic  Jam (PS154), Road Trip ((PS 155), Sticker Sheet (SS105), 6 1/2" Paper Pad (PP846), Printed Chipboard (CB130), Small Photo Display (SB2110), Mini Alpha Stickers - Cherry Red (MA508).

Other Supplies:  baker's twine, buttons, button twine, grosgrain ribbon, miniature golf clubs/bag, paint.

Thanks for peeking in today!  Be sure to visit the Kaisercraft Blog for lots more inspiration from the teamies using the Little Toot Collection!

Happy Stamping :)

Little Toot - Dare to Dream - Card!

Hi everyone ... so happy you could pop in for a visit today!!  I have a sweet card today using Kaisercraft's {new} Little Toot Collection -- just a precious set filled with lots of yummy goodies!!

I made this fun pinwheel using some patterned papers from the 6 1/2" paper pack -- cut out two 3" squares, glue them back to back (patterned side facing out) use a pencil to mark your center spot, snip from each pointed corner about 1/3 of the way to the middle, fold every other pointed corner toward the center and fasten all the points in the middle with a decorative brad - easy peesy!!

I adore this blue and white polka dotted paper -- could just about eat it ... so yummy!!!  How adorable is that sweet chipboard sailboat?  One of my favorite summer activities is to head out to the lake we live on and enjoy a nice, relaxing cruise on our boat followed by a picnic lunch on the water ... that's what I DARE TO DREAM about during the warm, sunny summer months!!!

Kaisercraft Materials List:  Little Toot Collection paper - Putt (P688), Bumper (P692); 6 1/2" Paper Pad (PP846); Printed Chipboard (CB130); Clear Stamps - Tags (CS760); Rub Ons - Life (RB903); Pearl Brads - Chocolate (EM935); Pearls - Denium (SB782); Foam Tape (T303).

Other Supplies:  grosgrain ribbon, baker's twine, cardstock, doilie die.
