Let the My Time Made Easy PEEKS begin ...

Hello everyone and welcome to the peeks for the June Release at My Time Made Easy!

Today I'm pleased to introduce you to the DISC-COVERED Template ...

... which is available in a CD or DVD size for perfect gift packaging!  I decided to make the CD size to share with you all today.

These papers are simply gorgeous ... they are from the Spring Is Here Collection and have beautiful colors similar to Stampin' Up's! Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry! Isn't that flower so pretty!!!

This pretty sentiment is from the Chase Your Dreams set.   I cut the {new} Just Retail Tag pretty cut file out using a piece of pretty striped and polka dotted paper from the Spring Is Here Collection and white cardstock -- I folded the larger part of the Just Retail Tag in half to create a tiny tag.  The pretty pink polka dotted butterfly is cut from one of the pieces of the Spring Is Here Collection paper too!

I punched a hole in the upper left corner of the tag/card and then tied it onto the Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon with some yellow baker's twine.  A few snipetts of yellow gingham trim and yellow pom-pom trim finish off this cutie-patootie!  This is such a happy little gift set ... just makes me smile!

Lauren asked us to be creative and think 'outside the box' ... not just use the CD and DVD packaging for the obvious gift options, so I filled the inside of my CD box with some coordinating Mary Englebreight accessories ... such an adorable gift to give to a special friend!!!

The Shabby Tea Room #64!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to this week's Tea Room challenge!  Charlene is our shabby little host this week and she has chosen a RECIPE challenge for us to design with ...

"2 - 4 - 6"

...  create a card or project with at least TWO patterned papers, FOUR buttons AND SIX layers!

For a sweet bit of inspiration, Charlene has provided us this pretty photo to jump start our creative juices!  (You need not use the colors in the photo unless you are inspired by them.)

I'm tickled pink to welcome back JustRite Stamps as our regular bi-monthly sponsor in the Tea Room!  The Shabby Girls adore working with the wonderful products that JustRite offers -- absolutely gorgeous stamp sets, so easy to use and affordable too!

For my design today, I was fortunate to create with a brand new cling set from JustRite Stamps called Signs of Life {swoon}!!!

First I stamped the sentiment in hot pink ink onto Vintage Cream cardstock, inked the edges with twill paint to create a time-worn look and die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Classic Squares.

Next I stamped a frame image from the Signs of Life set with a soft blue ink, die cut the image with Labels 16, and die cut the center with another square from Classic Squares set from Spellbinders. I added dimensional foam squares in between the sentiment and frame to create a 'shadowbox' effect and add dimension.  A few sweet blue pearls finish off this beautiful little frame!

The patterned papers are 5th Avenue and Vintage Attic Treasures from Melissa Frances, lace trim with rhinestones and flower from Prima, buttons from Doodlebug and Primrose Cookie Dough Shabby Vintage Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop!  I stamped another sentiment from the Signs of Life set along with a flourish on the bottom right corner of the patterned paper too!

You'll want to visit the Shabby Girls' individual blogs to see what they've 'cooked up' for you this week with our recipe challenge!!!

Charlene Cundy - Expresstions of Me!

Danielle Greenwood - Au Clair de La Lune
Melissa Bove - Creating From the Heart

Pattie Goldman - The Pampered Paper Patch

Sheri Holt - My Sheri Cards

So happy you popped in today!  Thanks for peeking ... have a wonderful stampy day!

Hugs!

The Ribbon Reel #3!

WOW ... moving right along over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog and we're up to #3!!  My bloggity buddy, Clare, is our awesome host this week and she has chosen a SKETCH for us to design with ...

I began with some pretty papers from Webster's Pages and embossed them with my favorite folder - Vintage Wallpaper from Stampin' Up!  I added a bit of ink to create a time-worn effect.

The stamped image is from Webster's Pages too -- so soft, worn and pretty!!  I stamped the main image in Blushing Bride and the side accents in Antique Linen Distress Ink from Tim Holtz - sentiment is from PTI.  The SCRUMPTIOUS ribbons and trims from The Ribbon Reel Boutique are White Guipure Lace Drops {swoon}, Lemon Yellow Baker's Twine, May Arts Ivory Silky Crush and Champagne Striped Twill Tape!!!!  Seriously, Keilly has THE BEST selection of ribbons, trims and accessories around!  A visit to The Ribbon Reel Boutique is a 'must' :)  This Design Team position is a 'dream job' for me as I'm addicted to adding laces and ribbons on my cards!!!!!!

Doesn't the Ivory Silky Crush Ribbon make the most gorgeous bloom?  Just run a gathering stitch along one side, pull up the threads to gather and then tie off the ends and attach with a strong glue to your project!  The Champagne Striped Twill Tape was rouched and the Guipure Drop Lace was machine sewn onto the card!

I used a bit of Lemon Baker's Twine to create a flourish effect among the leaves.  This card is just pure eye candy IRL!
Please visit The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to see what the other girlies have created this week for your inspiration and then give our sketch challenge a try.  You have until June 12th to participate!  You'll not want to miss out on the chance to win a handful of delicious trims and laces from TRR!

Thanks for peeking in today!

Top Tip Tuesday #35 - 2 or more stamps

Top 5 spotlight at Cupcake Inspirations ...

Good morning ya'll ... I hope everyone in the US is having a wonderful, relaxing Memorial Day Holiday!  My guys golfed yesterday, so I stamped the afternoon away and watched a few chic flicks on Lifetime!!  Today they are doing some more golfing and then we're taking a picnic dinner out on the lake - YUM!  Tomorrow everyone is off work, so we'll be taking the boat out to the lake again and spending the day on the water -- weather is supposed to be fabulous!!!

I am tickled pink to share with you that the 50th Wedding Anniversary project I created this past week earned a Top 5 Spotlight at Cupcake Inspirations today - yippiee :)
Have a wonderful stampy day!!!

Fore You DAD ...

I KNOW ... don't be 'too shocked' when you peek at this post!  I have a MASCULINE card and gift project to share with you all today!  No pink ... no glitter ... no bling!  All boy for today :)

I made this CUTE masculine card with my monthly card class gals for May ... with Father's Day right around the corner, the timing was perfect!  I raided my hubby and son's golf supplies for the white tees!  I love the little, unexpected pop and 3-D effect the addition of the golf tee added to the overall card design!

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!  Isn't that little banner the sweetest thing!  I love the argyle embossing on the Wild Wasabi cardstock!

Some of the ladies didn't want to make Father's Day cards, so instead they used the initials of the man this card would go to!  So, for a Happy Birthday masculine card for Justin Matthew Marcinkiewicz, you'd stamp JMM!  So manly and clever!

We also made a CUTE little desk post it note set!  Love the altered binder clip and the little bit of Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon at the top!

These would make great gifts for secretaries, co-workers, party favors, stocking stuffers.  You can change the patterned papers to reflect any occasion!  Super inexpensive, cute and FUN :)
Thanks for peeking in today ... hope you're having a wonderful stampy day!!!

Hugs!

Dream With Me ...

Hello sweet friends and welcome to this month's project I've created for The Hybrid Chick!  We're celebrating a Wedding/Anniversary theme this month at THC, so I designed a special gift for my in-laws who will be celebrating their 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY this August -- WOWOWOWOW!!

All of the sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren are getting together and we're surprising them with a family trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL this December -- during Christmas Week!

We'll be treating them to three fun-filled days at The Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom ... with a special, magical dinner celebration the final evening ... and a cake prepared by the Disney chefs too!

This trip will be serving 'double duty' for me and my little family as the hubby and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this fall as well - WOW!

My hubby, two sons and I will be heading down to Florida four days before the rest of the entire family arrives to have a private celebration with just the four of us!  We'll be staying at the grand, ultra Victorian-inspired vacation destination ... the Grand Floridian, where I am told they will have life sized gingerbread houses on display in the lobbies to walk through and enjoy!

We'll be hitting up Sea World, Universal Studios, golfing at one of the six amazing golf courses at the Disney complex ... and mommy is getting a day of beauty at the Grand Floridian Spa - yippiee!  Friday evening we were able to purchase special tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ... they close down Magic Kingdom at 6 pm and reopen at 7 pm until midnight for ticket holders -- we'll enjoy Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Holiday-Themed Shows, Character Greetings, Cookies & Cocoa and SNOW on Main Street, USA!  No matter what your age .. I am sure this will make you feel like a kid again!

So, for this oh-so-special 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary, I wanted to make a very special, handmade from the heart treasure to give to my husband's sweet parents.  I hope they like it!
Thanks for peeking in today.  Please pop on over to The Hybrid Chick for a complete list of supplies I used from The Digichick Shop along with instructions on how you can make one of these sets of your very own!

Have a wonderful stampy day :)

My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns #11!

Welcome to this week's edition of the My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns #11 Challenge!

I loved working with this sketch ... this card came together so effortlessly!

I used pretty papers from the Fresh Cut Expressions Collection #1 and A Loving Heart Collection.  I love the soft gingham and floral pattern from the Fresh Cut Expressions piece and my fancy script on the plum A Loving Heart paper is so beautiful!  I attempted to make a hydrangea cupcake ... pleted the Kraft cardstock and then embossed with polka dots to resemble a cupcake liner ... but my little bob looks more like a flower basket.  Still really dimensional and pretty IRL!  The hydrangea is my all-time FAV flower!  I have about 25 bushes planted around my yard and they are already blooming with lovely snowball blossoms of gorgeous shades of pinks, crimsons, blues, fushias, lilacs, plums and purples!  The only color I don't have in my yard is white ... I like colors to go with my {pink} Victorian home!!!

The beautiful sentiment is from the Chase Your Dreams stamp set ... I printed it out and die cut with the Labels 20 die from Spellbinders.  I added a pretty paper doilie inked with twill paint, some bling-y plum colored rhinestones and a bit of Lilac Lace Shabby Vintage Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop!

So soft ... so sweet ... so fun to make!

Thanks for peeking in today!  Please be sure to visit the other MTME Pretty Patterns Designers to see what they have created to inspire you with today and then I hope you have time to give this fun sketch a try!

Wish ...

Hello all and welcome to this week's edition of The Beary Scrap Challenge -- 'Nature' plus a charm for us this week!

My nature embellishments are a gorgeous Wood Shape No. 4 dragonfly from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden Collection that I inked with paint, liberally applied glitter and then adhered a snipett of vintage lace and Kaisercraft pearls, a pretty little blue bird in flight atop an image of vintage sheet music paper, and a pretty little blossom from Prima!

The beautiful papers are Botanical from Prima and I added a few little bobbles of Kaisercraft Latte Pearls!

I used JustRite's new Signs of Life cling stamp set along with a couple of Spellbinders rectange and circle scalloped dies to complete my design!  The Shabby Vintage Seam Binding is Cake Crumbs from my Etsy Shop and the charm and ticket are both from Tim Holtz.

Thank you so much for popping by today for a visit with me!  I'll be back here again next Thursday with another creation for The Beary Scrap Challenge Blog!

Happy news ...

WOWOWOWOW ... big thanks and hugs to my stampy friend, Pattie, for choosing me as one of the two winners of her One Year Blog-o-versary Celebration!  I won a $25 gift certificate to Susana's Custom Art and Cards Design Shop :)

How cool is that??!!??

Good day here today ... the temps soared into the 90's -- 93 degrees here in Raleigh/Chapel Hill and 98 degress in Fayetteville - 2 hours south of us.  I stayed in most of the day today and completed some up-coming design team stuff for My Time Made Easy and The Beary Scrap Challenge Blog.  Then my BFF came over later in the evening and we walked for about 3 miles.  My hubby is away on his first business trip overseas (Taiwan) since his cardiac episode last March, so she knew I needed a bit of support because I've been stressing about him being away and not under my supervision and watchful eye!!!  The best part was that she brought me a dozen homemade cupcakes ... she owns her own business and makes THE BEST cupcakes in the world - yummy!

Quiet here on the blog the past couple days, but I've been busy behind the scenes preparing goodies for viewing soon!

Dentist tomorrow morning (yuck!) and then more work on projects for upcoming design team assignments.  Stay tuned here on the ol' bloggity blog the next couple of days to peek at what I've been up to!

I'm teaching a card class on Thursday, so I'll be posting those goodies on the blog hopefully this weekend.  We're making a couple really cute Father's Day projects!

I'll be posting for The Hybrid Chick on Friday ... an anniversary themed project!

Saturday I'll be joining the City Crafter Challenge Blog girls and some CCCB friends in a birthday blog hop to help celebrate Kirsty's upcoming special day!

Monday I'll be posting projects for The Shabby Tea Room and The Ribbon Reel.

And ... Tuesday begins the My Time Made Easy peeks for the June Release -- WOW, June already.  Where is the time going to?

Until next time ... happy stamping ya'll :)

The Shabby Tea Room #63!

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room!  Week #63 brings Melissa as our fabby host and she has chosen this pretty little photo as inspiration ...

... and our challenge is to make a card or project in a BABY THEME!  (You need not use the colors in the photo unless you are inspired by them!)

I chose to design with the Rocking Horse digital image from one of our sponsors this week, Lauretta's Digital Stamps.  I printed it out on pink polka dotted paper, cut it out, inked the edges with white paint and then adhered it to a die cut from Spellbinders that I embossed, painted with pink paint and glittered!

The sentiment is from PTI and stamped on another Spellbinders die cut.  I added some pretty green satin ribbon, pearls, white organza ribbon, a pink silk bloom and a stamped baby rattle that I glittered so it would sparkle and pop!

All my images and embellies are mounted against two black die cuts from Spellbinders, some pretty damask paper from DCWV and a pink sparkler from Webster's Pages with another pearl to top it all off!

Be sure to visit the Shabby Girls' individual blogs to see what they have created for your inspiration this week:

Charlene Cundy - Expresstions of Me!

Danielle Greenwood - Au Clair de La Lune

Melissa Bove - Creating From the Heart

Pattie Goldman - The Pampered Paper Patch

Sheri Holt - My Sheri Cards
And before I leave you all today, I had a extra prize up for grabs from our sponsor last week in the Tea Room, The Beary Scrap Paper Crafting Boutique!

There were 15 comments, but only 2 were eligible for the prize (follower at Simple Treasures, participated in the Monochromatic Tea Room challenge and then left me a comment on Simple Treasures regarding the first two requirements).
1 - Charlene
5 - Diane

#1 - Charlene Cundy!!!

Congrats, Charlene!  I'll be getting your prize package out in the mail to you this week!

Challenges for this card:
Color Combos Galore #193 - inspiration palette
Simon Says Stamp - sparkle & shine
