The Shabby Tea Room #85!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to another fun week of inspiration and creativity at The Shabby Tea Room!  This week Fran is our wonderful host and she has chosen the theme of 'Happy Halloween' along with this beautiful photo for inspiration ...

... and Fran asks that you create a card or project inspired by the HALLOWEEN THEME in this photo AND USE PURPLE, ORANGE, BLACK & NEUTRALS WITH TWINE OR RAFFIA!

For my card I used the Halloween Fun stamp set and Creating With Vintage Patterns CD - both available from Crafty Secrets!  I used some sweet black and white baker's twine on the pretty little nosegay too ... glittered chipboard star from Melissa Frances ... black gems from Kaisercraft.  The entire card is adhered to a base of Kraft cardstock.

I was inspired by the SHAPE of this magnificent Halloween tree and all the glitz and bling, so I decided to make a cute little candy holder to go with my card!  I had some left over orange glitter from when I made a black and orange CHRISTMAS tree for my youngest son's dorm room (he attends Campbell University and their colors are black and orange!), so I decided to make a cutie patootie pumpkin head on top of the canning jar bottom filled with Lindt Truffles Halloween Chocolates!

Super easy peesy ... I sprayed styrofoam shapes with adhesive and then rolled them in glitter.  The addition of some black brads, cardstock triangles for eyes, more baker's twine, tiny little roses and some tea-stained twill tape complete this adorable project!

And there you have it ... a sweet treat good enough to give or receive!  I'm keeping mine and already have it up on display on an antique hoosier chest in my kitchen!!

Our sponsor this week in the Tea Room is More Paper Than Shoes and Anna, the owner, is graciously providing the Tea Room Winner with a $20 gift certificate so you'll definitely want to play along for your chance to win!!
