Tuesday Tip with Kaisercraft!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to my first post in August for Kaisercraft!  Today my assignment was to create a project for the Tuesday Tip category -- how fun!!  I adore to paper craft and love to quilt, so for today's tip I decided to combine the two and show you all how to create a couple of sweet 'quilted' cards using the brand new Miss Nelly Collection ... I'm completely smitten with these pretty confections!
Let's get started!

Kaisercraft Materials List:   Miss Nelly Collection 6 1/2" Paper Pad ( PP849); Self-Adhesive Pearls & Rhinestones (RS422); Lace Pack - white (EM926); Clear Stamps - Alpha Vintage Script (CS782).

Other supplies:  cardstock, glue, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1 1/4" square punch, paper trimmer, scissors.

Dresden Quilted Card:

Choose eleven different patterned papers from the Miss Nelly Paper Pack.  Make a template for the Dresden pattern out of scrap paper.  The template will look like a man's tie and will be 1 3/4" from the bottom of the tie to the tip.

Lay template on top of patterned papers and cut out 10 little ties.

Punch out two 1 3/4" circles.

Using a pencil, mark 3/4" from the top right corner inward and 3/4" from the bottom left corner inward on your cardstock base.  This is where you will place the flat bottom end of your Dresden pattern templates cut from pattern papers.

Adhere all ten of the Dresden patterned paper 'ties' in the shape of a half circle.

Adhere the 1 3/4" circles over the ends of the 'ties' and trim away the excess from the back of the card. You may emboss the front of this card either before you adhere your circle punches or afterwards.  I used glossy patterned paper for the circles, so I embossed the card base and 'ties' before I adhered the circles.

Using one of the pretty little tags from the back of the Miss Nelly 6 1/2" Paper Pack, I stamped a sentiment using the Vintage Script Alpha Clear Stamps, added some new Miss Nelly Rhinestones and some pretty white cotton lace trim.

Quilted Squares Card made using a 1 1/4" square punch and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

Rail Fence Quilted Card using 1/2" strips and a Swiss Dot embossing folder.

Now your turn!!  I can't wait to see what you are inspired to create using this BEAUTIFUL new Miss Nelly Collection from Kaisercraft!

Thanks for peeking in today ... have a wonderful stampy day!
