Hello sweet friends and welcome to this week's Tea Room challenge! Charlene is our shabby little host this week and she has chosen a RECIPE challenge for us to design with ...
"2 - 4 - 6"
... create a card or project with at least TWO patterned papers, FOUR buttons AND SIX layers!
For a sweet bit of inspiration, Charlene has provided us this pretty photo to jump start our creative juices! (You need not use the colors in the photo unless you are inspired by them.)
I'm tickled pink to welcome back JustRite Stamps as our regular bi-monthly sponsor in the Tea Room! The Shabby Girls adore working with the wonderful products that JustRite offers -- absolutely gorgeous stamp sets, so easy to use and affordable too!
For my design today, I was fortunate to create with a brand new cling set from JustRite Stamps called Signs of Life {swoon}!!!
First I stamped the sentiment in hot pink ink onto Vintage Cream cardstock, inked the edges with twill paint to create a time-worn look and die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Classic Squares.
Next I stamped a frame image from the Signs of Life set with a soft blue ink, die cut the image with Labels 16, and die cut the center with another square from Classic Squares set from Spellbinders. I added dimensional foam squares in between the sentiment and frame to create a 'shadowbox' effect and add dimension. A few sweet blue pearls finish off this beautiful little frame!
The patterned papers are 5th Avenue and Vintage Attic Treasures from Melissa Frances, lace trim with rhinestones and flower from Prima, buttons from Doodlebug and Primrose Cookie Dough Shabby Vintage Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop! I stamped another sentiment from the Signs of Life set along with a flourish on the bottom right corner of the patterned paper too!
You'll want to visit the Shabby Girls' individual blogs to see what they've 'cooked up' for you this week with our recipe challenge!!!
