The Shabby Tea Room #61!

Hello bloggity blog friends and welcome to this week's installment of The Shabby Tea Room challenge!  Danielle is our shabby girl host this week and she has chosen the theme of 'Ruffled Up' along with this beautiful inspiration photo ...

... and asks that we create a card or project with RUFFLES - easy peesy, right??!!??

I began my design with this beautiful digital image from our sponsor this week and decided it would be {perfect} as a graduation card for my 18 year old niece that lives in California, is just graduating from high school and off to college in August!  I included a snipett of vintage cream colored trim that I picked up antiquing last weekend and on top of that I rouched some fun hot pink polka dotted grosgrain ribbon ... just perfect for an 18 year old girl!

This pretty sentiment is from the You Inspire Me cling stamp set from JustRite Stamps.  I die cut the sentiment with a circle from Spellbinders and then backed it with another fancy beaded die from Spellbinders.  I added 22 hot pink rhinestone hearts in the middle of each tiny bead - so cute!  A bit more of vintage lace trim, some rhinestone flowers from Prima, a scalloped border in hot pink from Spellbinders and two sweet handmade rolled flowers with pearl centers complete this design!  This is such a beautiful, girlie girl card -- it would also make a lovely Mother's Day card ... or even a special birthday too!

And here is the finished card ... so pretty and just the right amount of whimsy and elegantness for an 18 year old girl ... not a child any more, but not a women yet ... entering such an exciting time in her life!!

Our sponsor in the Tea Room this week is Digital Delights By Louby Loo!

And they are offering a FUN digital prize package for our lucky winner ...
