The Shabby Tea Room #43!

Happy New Year to everyone visiting today!  The holidays went by in a blink of a eye and here we are in a brand new year.  I really love the beginning of each new year ... a time to set new goals and refocus!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with love, joy and happiness!

It feels SO GOOD to get back into a regular swing of things in my craft room ... I missed my little space while it was doubling as a bedroom over the holidays for visiting out of town company!  Now, onto this week's yummy challenge at The Shabby Tea Room ... Week #43 brings Nicole as our host and she has chosen the theme of 'Welcome to 2011' and asks us to create a card or project using ELEVEN ELEMENTS!  Wow -- how FUN is that!!!

I chose to go with a VINTAGE theme for this card (soft, distressed elements, vintage images and found elements such as buttons, crochet trim, flowers made out of old dress patterns)!  Here are my 11 elements:

1.  cardstock
2.  patterned papers from Webster's Pages
3.  dies and punches
4.  stamps and ink
5.  paint
6.  Webster's Pages vintage lace
7.  bloomer and sparkler from Webster's Pages
8.  sewing machine
9.  embellies - trinket pin, buttons, berries, rusty bell, baker's twine, glitter, pearls
10. Pink satin trim with beads
11.  Vintage Winter White Shabby Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop

Isn't that dress form element so pretty stamped with a flourish in Cake Crumbs ink and adorned with pink beaded trim and pearls!  It is a new stamp and die that I am playing with for the first time today!  I am in {love} with the soft, vintage, girlie sweetness of this card design ... it is a true 'treasure', don't you think?

The nosegay made up of vintage finds and treasures from my crafty baskets is pure 'bliss'!  So delicate and pretty ... these papers are divine!

Hop on over to the Tea Room to see what the Shabby Girls have created this week for your inspiration:

And we are SO LUCKY this week to have not only one ... not two ... not three ... but four amazing Guest Designers joining us in the Tea Room this week to kick off the new year:
