My Time Made Easy Peeks - Day Two and a Tea Party!!

Well, from the comments I received, it sounds like the Fancy a Cuppa? and To Go! templates are a BIG HIT!!  I'm so tickled that you enjoyed my pretty in pink 'Got Smores' gift design :)  It was so much fun to make!!!  I'd love to see the projects that you make with these sweet templates ... leave me a comment!

Today is day #2 of the sneak peeks from My Time Made Easy and Lauren did not disappoint with this next template ... oh my shabby goodness - YUM!  I'm super excited to show you what I made and tell you all about it ... let's go!

I'm pleased to introduce you to the Grab a Cup template!  Isn't it a-mazing!!!  I'm a HUGE tea/coffee lover -- I collect antique tea cups and pots.  One of my favorite things to do is host and attend tea parties with my girl friends ... my challenge blog is even called The Shabby Tea Room {giggle}!!  I have antique dolls and teddy bears set up in my living and dining rooms having tea parties - so cute :)

This template spoke to my heart and I could hardly wait to cut it out and put it all together into a scrumptious little gift set!  I used a sheet of the new Cafe Text digital paper from the All Steamed Up Collection - super cute!  I embossed the adorable handle and even did some sewing directly on the tea cup -- it worked fabby to help hold the digi papers onto the cardstock due to the bends in the cup!

For the sweet little tag, I used one of the tag images from A Spot of Tea (my all-time favorite set of Lauren's to date!) and the sentiment is stamped using the new Grab a Cup Sentiments set!  I filled this sweet little cup with lots of yummies like tea, sugars, a tea pot cookie cutter and a sweet little tea spoon that I tied the tag onto!  Just precious!

To complete this darling little gift set, I made a coordinating card using the Fancy a Cuppa?, Fancy a Cuppa? Add on Set, Grab a Cup and Grab a Cup Sentiments stamp sets!  More embossing to pick up the embossed handle on the cup and some gorgeous lace with irridescent sequins -- to make the cream and sugar containers look like they are sitting oh so pretty atop lace-lined shelves waiting for a tea party!

A little glitter here, some pearls and satin ribbon there ... and wha-la!  My Tea Party gift set is complete!!

I think I need to make these as favors for my next Tea Party with the girls ... what do you think??

This is just the' icing on the cake' for the sets and templates that will be peeked for you this week ... be sure to come back tomorrow for the OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY!!  Tons of fun, and you'll get to see and order EVERYTHING from the October release ... yippiee :)

My Time Made Easy PEEKS begin today!

Well, the day has {FINALLY} arrived for me to share some adorble sneak peeks with you all from Lauren Meader's October My Time Made Easy releases!  I have the distinct honor of being chosen as Lauren's very first Guest Designer, and I couldn't be more tickled or excited!  WOW!!

My Time Made Easy™ LLC

This is the largest release Lauren has launched to date ... you'll be treated to EIGHT new stamp sets and FIVE new templates, as well as some awesome digital papers, digital stamp sets and cut files too!  Oh my shabby goodness ... my excitement has been hard to contain during the past weeks leading up to today!  YOU will be able to get your hands on everything that you'll see this week in peeks beginning October 1st, so mark your calendars for that very special shopping day and treat yourself to some of these fabby goodies!

So, let's get started, shall we??!!

First up, I am super excited to share the Fancy a Cuppa? and To Go! templates ...

... aren't these simply PRECIOUS!  When I first saw these two templates, my friend, Mary Sue, came to mind.  Every time I see this sweet girl, she has a cup of Starbuck's Coffee in her hands!  YUM!  I decided to go with a 'hot chocolate and smores' theme ...what do ya' think?  Cute, huh!!!

I used a color palette of kraft, white, pink and black.  The wrap around the coffee cup is an actual wrap from Panera Bread that I cut down according to the template provided with the To Go! package, and then added some white lace around it for good measure!  I designed my entire project using 12 Days of Snowflakes digital papers in {pink}!  It's hard to believe the cup is made from a template ... it looks like the real thing!!   I even covered the Hershey's chocolate bar with some of the snowflake digi paper and tied it up with a big white satin bow :)

The lid is from some disposable coffee cups purchased at my local grocery store and fit just right on top of the To Go! cup that I created from the template ... how sweet!  I wrapped the entire cup up with some delicious white satin ribbon and decorated the top and bow with some images from Grab a Cup Sentiments, Fancy a Cuppa?, Grab a  Cup and Fancy a Cuppa? add on set.  The Fancy a Cuppa? template even has a little handle and divider in the middle so your goodies will behave and sit straight as you're assembling your gift!  These both were super easy peesy to put together and so much fun to decorate!

No gift set is complete without a matching card, right??  So, I carried the theme from my gift right into a pretty little gift card.  What a darling set ... I almost don't want to give it away!!

On my card, I added a piece of digi paper from the Sensational Staples line ... I {heart} that line of papers -- delicious!!!  A few snipetts of lace, ribbon, leaves, chipboard, rhinestones, twine and glitter and wha-la!  The shabby vintage seam binding is 'Cake Crumbs' from my Etsy Shop - it matches the kraft cardstock perfectly!

There are so many more sets and templates that will be peeked for you this week ... they are going to knock your socks off!  I have to admit, this one is one of my favorites, but wait until you see what I have up my sleeve for you all to drool over tomorrow!!  Stay tuned :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #86!

Wow, I've been waiting for what seems like {forever} for this day to arrive ... it's Tuesday, so a brand new Timeless Tuesday Challenge at the Flourishes Blog and your host this week is -- ME :)

I was tickled {pink} when Betty contacted me last month and asked if I'd be interested in hosting a Tuesday Challenge in September - yippiee!  I chose the theme of 'Harvest Home' and would love to see your designs this week focused on what touches you at this time of year centered around the abundant fall harvests and warm cozy feeling of your home!  Maybe you love to pick bushels full of apples and make pies ... maybe you love to curl up on the couch with a warm mug of mulled apple cider and a good book ... maybe you love to entertain and invite friends over to share in some of the delicious fall bounty ... maybe you love talking walks in the cool, brisk air while the leaves crunch under your feet.  I want to see your creativity flow and cannot wait to see what touches you at this special time of the year :)

I hosted a dinner party for 12 guests last Saturday night and decided to make favors for each of the couples to take home at the end of the night!  I designed them in lovely fall colors of pumpkin, olive, chocolate and vanilla, and filled them with delicious mini jars of Rhubarb Strawberry Jam!

I used the 'Jam Packed' template and 'Lattice Collection 2' digital papers in Acorn Squash from My Time Made Easy!

I made little place cards using the Seeds of Friendship and Autumn Flourishs sets ...

and I used the Cottage Home and Berry Sweet sets to create an invitation!

The lovely paper flowers are Prima and a vintage yo-yo from a recent antiquing day!

The guests were so surprised when they saw the goodies on the table ...

and were double-ly excited when they realized they could take the treat boxes home!

This was a fun project to design and make ...

and such an honor to work with the girlies at Flourishes this week!

Please take a minute to visit the other Designers blogs to see their inspiration and lovely projects this week for our 'Harvest Home' challenge!

Picture Perfect Creations #32!

WOW ... Megan has done it again!  Isn't the color combo for the #32 challenge at Picture Perfect Creations simply delicious!  It reminds me of a bushel full of fresh picked red and green apples with a crunchy leaf that has been turned yellow by the crisp, fall air :)

This card came out so pretty IRL ... lots of layers, texture and yumminess!!  The glitter doesn't show well in the pic, but the tops of the acorns and the rust elements in the stamped image are all glittered!

Hop on over to the PPC challenge blog to be inspired by the other design team girlies work this week and then give this awesome color challenge a try!

The Shabby Tea Room #29!

Oh my shabby goodness ... Clare is our host this week in the Tea Room and she has chosen this GORGEOUS photo as inspiration for us all to work from:

Our challenge is called "Pearls and Pastels" and we are to create a card or project inspired by the photo!

I took this picture very literally and not only used the colors in the photo, but I also created a 'jeweled bracelet' on my card!  This was so much fun to design ... I hit my treasure baskets and pulled out lots of pearls, rhinestones, buttons, flowers, beads and bobbles that looked like this breathtaking bracelet and set to work!

JustRite is our sponsor again in the Tea Room this week {love them!}!  I used both the Vintage Christmas stamp set and the Christmas Nested Sentiments!!  I also used the current #37 sketch challenge at the JR blog to create my card!

I die cut the large snowflake from chipboard, spray painted it white and then glittered it (yum!).  Many of you will remember that I used this exact same die and technique for my personal holiday card last year ... 50 glittered snowflakes -- doesn't get much better than that in 'Debbie land'!!!

A little stamping, a little sewing, some more glittering and lots of layers and texture.  So much FUN :)

Please hop on over to the Tea Room to be inspired by the other Shabby Girls' creations and visit their personal blogs too ... so much talent:

A few quick posts for you all today ... still prepping for the sneaks to begin for MTME on Wednesday :)  GREAT news ... Alexa is doing much better, has been moved out of ICU and transferred to a regular room in peds -- and yesterday her oxygen mask was removed, so she is breathing on her own!  They are still watching her very closely, but looks like this cutie pie has turned the corner!  Lauren is feeling a bit better -- I can only imagine the load of stress that has been lifted from her shoulders seeing her little girl's health improving!  Please continue to pray for them!!

Busy, busy here designing and not much free time to blog, but I wanted to try to play catch up with a few cute things ...

A prayer request for a dear friend ...

Hi bloggity friends ... I'm still around!  I haven't had much time lately to blog just for the fun of it -- lots going on 'behind the scenes' getting ready for the BIG My Time Made Easy peeks to begin on September 29th followed by the HUGE release party on October 1st!  All the fun begins here one week from today, so mark your calendars to join in on the fun!

My Time Made Easy™ LLC

On a sad note, Lauren's oldest daughter is very ill and was hospitalized this past Saturday with pneumonia.  For those of you who follow Lauren's blog, you know that Alexa has had many challenges in her short, little life.  Please pray for Alexa, Lauren and their family as they deal with this latest illness  ... pray for a speedy recovery for Alexa and strength for Lauren - who has also been diagnosed with a sinus infection and pneumonia .  The power of prayer is strong!

This release is the largest one in MTME history -- 8 new stamp sets, 5 new templates and some yummy cut files too!  The Design Team has stepped up and taken over the peeks and release for Lauren during her time of need!  The next best thing you can do to support Lauren after a prayer is to support her business as this family will, no doubt, be burdened with some hefty medical bills after all the healing is complete.

You won't be disappointed ... such adorable stuff!  I'm bursting with anticipation and cannot wait to start sharing all the amazing goodies I've been making using the new October products from MTME!

In the meantime, I can share with you all the sweet gift I received from my hubby when I got home from work Monday evening ... a dozen long stem red roses to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary - WOW!

I was out again last night {stamping!!!}, so we are 'officially' celebrating tonight with dinner at The Melting Pot and a movie - yippiee :)

I hope you're all having a wonderful, stampy day!

Picture Perfect Creations #31!

This week at Picture Perfect Creations Challenge Blog, Megan has given us a 'challenging' assignment {giggle}!  I found these colors very unique together and it took me a while to make my card work!  I'm not convinced I got 'enough' of each color in my design to show through, but here ya' go ...

You can find all the main, predominant colors, but if you're searching for the Rose Red (I used brads and cardstock) and Perfect Plum (I used a marker to shade the little girl's outfit/then glittered and again on the sentiment).  River Rock is background on the vintage image, the girl's dress, card base and tag.  Riding Hood Red is cardstock and buttons.

I've been on a Halloween kick this week, so I think that was what was making this difficult for me ... trying to coordinate this adorable vintage photo with the color palette!  It's really rather sweet IRL!

Hop on over to the PPC Challenge Blog to be inspired by the other design team girls' projects and then give this color challenge a try ... I dare you to!!!
