Oooooohhhhhh!!!!!! How pretty is this sweet little creation I designed today for a color challenge - Black, White & Teal ... yummy! This was a fun card to make ... tons of my favorite things and a gorgeous color combo. It's my submission for this week's challenge over at The Play Date Cafe -- thanks, Julie, for the chance to be inspired by your wonderful challenges :) They're so much FUN and I can hardly wait each week for the new challenge to arrive each Thursday morning!!!
I had the best day today -- spent 4 delicious hours over my stampy friend, Beth's home with a couple other gals just paper crafting, eating, giggling and having so much fun. We are thinking this might have to be a once per week thing -- I'm "IN"!

DSP: Webster's Pages; Wedding (Making Memories)
Ink: Taken With Teal
Accessories: Black grosgrain ribbon, taffetta ribbon (SU!); glittered chipboard heart & pearls (Melissa Frances); trinket pin (Nichole); vintage sheet music (Crafty Secrets); button & twine (PTI); vintage lace trim (Webster's Pages); teal paper flower (Offray).

Celebrate ... two for one!

This pretty little creation is my take on this week's challenge over at the No Time To Stamp blog - make a card similar to a recipe card with a tab.

This card also worked perfectly for this week's sketch challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You - another totally fun sketch!

DSP - Webster's Pages
Ink - Black
Stamp Set - Damask Designs (PTI)

March 'Cutie Pie' Card Set Class at AC Moore

All attendees had fun at the February AC Moore paper crafting classes where we made a beautiful, shabby chic mini album! Just gorgeous!! Class attendees gave me some feedback and this next project is what was requested ... you asked, so I designed!!

These photos are a sneak peek for you all on what we'll be making in March in the AC Moore Design Studio! It is the sweetest and cutest mini 'pizza' box with a set of 4 adorable handmade cards that nest perfectly inside the box! This would make a great gift to give or keep for yourself! So much fun ... looking forward to seeing YOU at a paper crafting class in March :)

GENIUS!!!

Okay, so I CASE'D (copied and stole everything!!!) this idea directly from another blog that I follow (thanks Chat!). What a GENIUS idea!!!
I've been nervous about losing some of my new clear stamp sets -- meaning that some of the rubber stamps are very small and without them being mounted on a block of wood, I'm afraid that I might lose one here or there in transport to stamping events with friends, etc.
Here's the perfect solution to not ever lose a tiny, little clear stamp ever again.
GENIUS ... why didn't I think of that? Wish I had saved the rubber backings to all the new sets I've ordered :) If you have a 'genius' idea, I'd love to here it ... leave me a comment!

CPS 155 --- Celebrate!

I'm in the mood for spring ... at least it looks like it with this spring-y colored card! The weather man is hinting of some more white stuff this week ... what in the world??? It's *not* supposed to snow in the south! Despite what the weather man is saying, I spent today spring cleaning, stripping beds and leaving the bedroom doors closed with windows wide open today -- need some fresh air in the house!!!

Circles, Circles ... Everywhere!

Oh my ... can you say fun sprinkled with sugar on top??!! These were some of my most favorite projects in the world to make -- totally delicious and loaded with lots of yummy 'circle' shaped embellies and stamped images. These are my submissions for this week's challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday ... so much fun, I couldn't choose just one!

Can you find all the circles: buttons, rhinestones, polka dots, stamped images, pom-poms, cherries, brads, chunky glitter, designs in the patterned papers, punches, die cuts -- oh my!

Don't you just love the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry 'ice cream' in the soda fountain cup - all decorated with circle shaped buttons! How about those large 'big girl sized' scoops of ice cream - all cut with a Big Shot die and then decorated with chunky glitter and a cherry on top of the pile!
Even all the scalloped border punches are 'half' circles ... still counts, right??!!
TOTALLY FUN PROJECTS ... wht do YOU think???
Recipes:
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Crazy For Cupcakes, Party Hearty
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink
Cardstock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink
Accessories: glitter, buttons, twine, word window punch, modern label punch, rhinestones (Basic Grey), brads and ice cream DSP (Doodlebug), 'sprinkled with fun' words and soda fountain glass cut with my Cricut machine and the Sweet Treats cartridge, BS scalloped circles die.

{Sweet} Hello ...

Here's a cutie pie card for ya'll that I'm submitting for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #57 over at The Sweetest Thing blog.

I made this super cute card with the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Kit -- one of my favorites. Don't you just love those bright, vibrant colors ... and OMG, that chipboard birdie is the cutest little thing :) All supplies are SU! except for the vintage button which is PTI and white satin ribbon from my stash.

I cut the scalloped circles using my Cricut and the A Child's Year cartridge. I have scalloped circle punches and dies, but the neat thing about using the Cricut is that you can size your shapes to whatever size you need them ... for showcasing this birdie, I used 2 1/2" for the Old Olive and 2 3/4" for the Pink Passion -- AND, the Cricut machine does the cutting for you, no cranking, no sandwiches necessary! (Thanks 'Santa'!)

Enjoy :)

Thanks {so much} ...

Gosh, I'm having the *best* weekend ever ... my three guys are out playing golf in this beautiful 60+ degree weather we're having in central NC today, I'm sitting in my design room with my sweet poodle, Hershey, watching the Olympics and playing with so many fun challenges this weekend! I can't get much better than that :)

This wonderfully layered card is my design for the Friday Make up 4 The Weekend sketch challenge #17 and also for Cute Card Thursday's challenge - to use metal in your design. I love layers and embellies, so this was a totally fun card for me to design -- the more the better in my opinion ... plus it gives you an excuse to play with and 'use' lots of those goodies that we tend to hoard in our supply baskets and treasure bins!!
All supplies are SU! (except for the vintage lace trim I glued on the bottom of the card) - Bella Bleu DSP, Very Vanilla, Kraft & Not Quite Navy CS, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Friends 24/7 & Tiny Tags stamp sets, Hodgepodge metal hardware kit ... and I cut the fancy frame with my Cricut machine using the Sentimentals cartridge.
Happy Sunday stamping :)

Sweet Nothings ...

This sweet Sunday creation was designed for a couple of fun challenges I found today out in blog land :) I used Cardvarks Stuck on You challenge which was to create a card using stickers - FUN! I love stickers and embellishments, so this was an easy peesy one for me! I used a retired Simply Scrappin' set from SU! called Sweet Nothings and another gorgeous, sparkle-y heart sticker from K & Co. The fleur-de-lis borders as well as the squares are all stickers!

The layout for this card was inspired by a challenge over at I Heart 2 Stamp by Jen Del Muro - Sketch 4 You 2 Try. What a fun layout - I {heart} the square scalloped punches!!

I hope you're all having a perfectly wonderful and happy - stampy day :)

JUGS #21 Color Challenge ...

Can you say cute? This is my submission for this week's color challenge over at Just Us Girls. I'm in a 'polka dot-y' kinda mood today!! This card was a fabulous way to use up some of those odds and ends pieces I had in my little treasure bins! Some embossed Vanilla cardstock to begin with, a couple little brads here, a couple little buttons there, some 3/4" punched circles, cute little cut cardstock layered on top of layer and top it off with some hand-stitched ruffling and dainty little bows with Rich Razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon and I'm calling it done!!
What do you think? FUN card, huh?

New Inventory ...

I just listed some new goodies over in my Etsy shop this afternoon ... I hope you can check them out!!

As always, if you see something you like or don't see something you're looking for, please contact me. I'm happy to help if I can :)

Thinking Spring ...

Boy am I ready for spring ... enough of that cold stuff! Today here in central NC it's actually a very pretty and seasonable day - high around 60. I'll take that!!!!

Here is my submission for this week's sketch challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You.

Supplies: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive CS, glitter, felt woolies, Tiny Tags stamp set, medium jewelry punch (SU!); DSP - Penny Lane (My Minds Eye).

Play Date Cafe ... #17

Wow, I just realized that I was so excited to see the color scheme of the new challenge this week over at The Play Date Cafe that I neglected to *read* the colors. I was blogging at night and my eyes saw linen, red and BLACK ... but in the light of day today and taking the time to actually *read* the challenge post, the color challenge is linen, red and BROWN!

Oh darn ... it forced me to make another card - the horror (just kidding)! THIS is my submission for this week's color challenge over at PDC! Sorry, gals, for the miscue -- consider the first card as my 'practice card'! I love how this card is tied together with the polka dot theme - in the DSP, in the paper flowers, in the round brads and in the chipboard button ... cute :)

Hope you like this color inspired card a *latte*!

Supplies: Very Vanilla CS, glitter, brads Like it a Latte stamp set, word window & modern label punches (SU!); DSP (My Minds Eye); vintage trim (Webster's Pages); chipboard 'i' & glittered chipboard flourish (Making Memories); chipboard button (Jenni Bowlin); paper flowers (Prima).

Create - Lattice Fold Technique!

A huge thank you to my stampy friend, Beth, for her patience in teaching me this lattice fold technique today! I just love how it turned out, don't you??? It's much prettier in person that shows in the picture. Even prettier with colored cardstock paper - Beth's came out gorgeous!!
I've never attempted this lattice fold technique before -- it was intimidating at first, but once you figure out the template, it's easy peesy :)

Supplies: Very Vanilla CS, grosgrain ribbon, glitter (SU!); DSP (Bo Bunny); chipboard frame, Gold Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels); Perfect Pearls (Ranger); flower (Prima); sentiment tag (7 Gypsies); fleur-de-lis embossing folder (Cuttlebug); grosgrain ric rac from my stash!

Artful ...

Hi everyone and hope you're having a good, scrappy Friday!! My hubby is on his way back from Barcelona, Spain right now - just heard from him in NY, so at least he's state side again! He's been gone overseas or on the west coast weekly for 5 out of the last 6 weeks ... now you see why I've had so much free time to stamp *giggle*!!!

I thought I'd get a few hours of stamp time in this afternoon before he gets back. He'll no doubt want to chat and I'll have a ton of laundry to do ... grrrrr ... ugh!

This sweet creation was inspired by my sweet, scrappy friend, Melissa Phillip's, color inspiration challenge this week. Meeeee tooo, Melissa, I love this color combo as well - one of my favorites! I was also inspired by this photo on the Pebbles, Inc. blog with very similar colors and sytles!! It is my submission for the current challenge over at Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge - Dazzle Us ... and I hope it does!!
Such a fun card to make and I think it came out very sweet. I used my Cricut to cut the teacup with the 'A Child's Year' cartridge.
Supplies: DSP (Webster's Pages); Bermuda Bay CS & ink, word window punch, modern label punch, dazzling diamonds glitter, Vanilla taffeta ribbon (SU!); Vintage Cream CS, Tea For Two stamp set, Vintage buttons, twine (PTI); Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels); paper flowers (Prima); trinket pin (Maya Road).

JUGS #20 - Split Negative Technique

Here is my little submission for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge. We were asked to create a design using the Split Negative Technique - stamped in one color on one side and an opposite color on the other side. I've never done this technique before so I was a little stumped on where to begin. As with all challenges, you just have to dig right in and go for it!!! What do ya' think??
Supplies: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay CS, scallop corner punch, large tage punch, dazzling diamonds glitter, courdory buttons, Chocolate Chip ink, corner rounder punch (SU!); DSP, trim (Webster's Pages); Boards & Beams stamp set, button, twine (PTI).

February Club Cards

The Easter Egg card is so precious ... just love those soft, pastel and oh-so-springy colors! I'm SOOOO ready for spring -- not a cold weather kind of gal -- happiest at the beach or lake and in the sunshine :) I used SU's new stamp set called Eggcoutrements along with the oval Big Shot die. Aren't those Easter eggs the cutest?? I used Tea Party DSP, Bashful Blue satin ribbon, the *new* swiss dot embossing folder, So Saffron button, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, BS texturz plate, large tag punch and the scalloped border punch.

The Birthday card is very cute and came together super quick! I used a paper piecing technique for the pants - stamped with another new SU set - Totally Tess. Looks like Tess is on her way to a birthday party in her pretty and colorful outfit - CUTE!! This is also my submission for the technique challenge over at ... just a little something ... this week - paper piecing!! Even though I don't like to cut very much, this was fun and the card was super easy to assemble. I used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP along with Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry CS, scalloped border punch, Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon and In-Color markers.
