The Shabby Tea Room #40!

Week #40 at The Shabby Tea Room brings Cathy as our lovely host and she has challenged us all to create with FELT this week ... so much FUN :)  I {heart} felt and fleece!!

I cut a mitten shape from red fuzzy felt and sewed them together.  At the cuff I added some cream fuzzy felt and blanket stitched the cuff to the mitten.

And now comes the MAGIC!  I embellished this sweet little fuzzy mitten with lots of vintage lace, adorable green pom-pom trim, Vintage Winter White Seam Binding from my Etsy Shop, Webster's Pages bloomers and sparklers, Melissa Frances glittered chipboard holly leaves, a kraft tag I inked with cream paint and then stamped a postal image on - tied onto the mitten with hemp cording, a handmade chenille candy cane with two tiny jingle bells tied on with baker's twine, a couple of sugared berries and some glitter to finish it off!

This was such a FUN project to create and one of my most favorite of the Tea Room challenges to date!  These sweet little mittens have become a favorite treasure of mine for the holidays and I know I will enjoy them for many years to come!

Please hop on over to the Tea Room to check out the inspiration by the Shabby Girls, and then visit their personal blogs for more great holiday ideas!
