The Graduate ...

Hello peeps ... I'm so happy you popped in for a peek today!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, relaxing and getting in some crafty time too!!  We hosted one leg of our monthly dinner club's Holiday Progressive Party yesterday ... oh what fun we had.  I've been busy prepping for that the past couple of days, putting the final touches on all my holiday decorations and making some yummy food and drinks to share with my guests!  We were the first house of four and our theme was 'Appetizers'.  On my menu:  Citrus Celebration Champagne Punch, Peppermint Martinis, Artichoke & Spinach Warm Dip, Cheese Fondue Sauce with broccoli, Tomato & Garlic Pesto Bruschetta, Warm Cheese & Garlic Dip and Garlic Parmesan Cheese Ball ... everything Tastefully SIMPLE!!

We also did a 'white elephant' gift exchange which was a HOOT ... such 'unique and unusual' gifts to say the least!!  My sons were upstairs and they told us afterward that they could hear us laughing all the way up there!  The best was one of the men who received the most lovely, purple, see through jeanie costume!!

The second house did wine and cheese in their lovely Frank Loyd Wright custom home - just beautiful!

The third house did main course with the most delicious crock pot london broil, roasted potatoes, baked squash & spinach, potato pancakes and an eggplant dish served over white rice ... with more champagne!  The host had such gorgeous tables set for us to sit down and dine at, and she even included a sparkly Christmas tree ornament as a favor for each guest to take home ... I got a red ladies shoes and my husband got a gold Christmas tree!

The fourth and final house did desserts and more wine!  During construction of their custom home, they actually turned a large hall closet into a 'wine room' with a breathtaking iron gate door on it to showcase their considerable collection of wines!  We were treated to cheesecake, fudge and peach pie - yum!

All in all, it was a fabulous night full of food, friends and FUN :)  We decided that we will make this an annual tradition each December moving forward!!

Not too much time for craftin', but I did manage a couple of days ago to make a keepsake page for my youngest son to commerate his high school graduation this past June that I wanted to share with you all :) I'm just finding a few moments today before I head up to the craft room to get some DT work done to post ... enjoy peeking!
