The Pink Elephant - Give Thanks!

Well, it's here ... today is the offical kickoff of the Thanksgiving holiday for us!  My in-laws arrive from NY this afternoon for a week-long visit and my boys will be home from college tomorrow for five days of family togetherness!  Tomorrow is also my 'baby's' 19th birthday!!  We're ALL going out together as a family to celebrate -- and I get out of cooking - yippiee!!

I have so much to be thankful for this year ... my family is healthy and happy, my husband found a job this spring right here at home and we didn't have to relocate to CA, my sons are doing well in college, I get to do what I love and design for some of the best shops and challenge blogs.  Live is GOOD!

Lori asked the entire Design Team from The Pink Elephant to create cards for a special challenge this week - Give Thanks!  I had this sweet little vintage image sitting on my 'to do' pile just waiting to be played with!

I started by using the current Waltzingmouse Sketch and the colors from JUGS -- I love the non-traditional colors on this Thanksgiving card ... especially the little POP of {pink}!  I used Deck the Halls DSP from Stampin' Up! and a burnt edge flower for the dark red, cardstock, glitter and berries for the white, cardstock and music notes for the black and sheet music, berries, cardstock & Prima flower and Primrose Cookie Dough Shabby Vintage Seam Binding (from my Etsy Shop) for the yellow.
