I have a good stamping friend who collects everything 'ladybug' related for her daughter who lives on 'Ladybug Lane' ... isn't that adorable?? Well, I was coming home from a tasting party the other night and hungry (yeah, I know, that doesn't really make sense since I sell FOOD, but I don't eat when I'm hosting my parties and I usually arrive home famished!), so I stopped in at McDonald's and ordered a happy meal. To my surpirse, the toy inside was the cutest little Ladybug Beanie Baby!! I knew immediately that I must make a tiny little house for this Ladybug and give it to Bonnie for her daughter's collection!
I used Lauren Meader's Ready, Set, Wrap template and added some circles to make the outside of the box look like the shell of a ladybug. I used Stampin' Up's new Teeny Tiny Words set for the sentiment and a few punches and ribbons. Wha-la ... what do you think??

This is such a pretty and dainty stamp set! It is one I earned FREE through the Consistency Summer Sales Incentive during May, June and July! I have a good friend and neighbor who brought me a bunch of fresh from her garden lavender tied with a gorgeous satin ribbon and I wanted a special little way to say 'thank you' to her! I think this will fit the bill perfectly!!! This card is really much prettier in person ... the three little 'bling' flowers add just the right amount of sparkle ... I LOVE sparkle!

Ink: Elegant Eggplant Ink, Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers

For the month of July, we decided to collect hand made cards and send them into an organization called 'Cards For Heroes'. They ship these cards overseas to our brave men and women in the armed forces fighting to protect our freedom. They provide envelopes and postage for the military and the service people can shop from all these BEAUTIFUL hand made treasures!
I issued a challenge to my clubers to show up to July Club with as many hand made cards as you possibly could ... some of you really took the challenge to heart and ran with it!
CONGRATULATIONS to all who participated ... here are some honorable mentions and heartfelt thanks to the gals who chose to participate!
Nicolle Ancarrow - 10 cards
Debbie Marcinkiewicz - 30 cards
Martha Dorroh - 40 cards
Joanie Brooks - 56 cards
Beth Cornwall - 100 cards
Bonnie Shafer - 200 cards
TOTAL = 436 CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPIEE!
(I combined these 436 cards with those that my stamping girl friends brought to our club this evening and the GRAND TOTAL of cards that will be sent to 'Cards For Heroes' is 1,033!)
Thanks, again, to all those that participated! Such a worthy cause ... such a fun activity!!

Okay, so MELON MAMBO is my NEW FAVORITE COLOR! Not too surprising since PURELY POMEGRANATE was my old favorite color ... they are similar/in the same color family! Melon Mambo is so vibrant and yummy. I'm trying to come up with a vision of creating my holiday card for this year and thinking of a way I can incorporate this awesome color into the card somehow! Not very holiday-ish ... but maybe this year I'll think OUTSIDE the box!!!

I tried to have a goal of offering 3 classes this summer during the months of June, July and August, but because of the planning and hosting of my son's Graduation Party in June, unfortunately, no class happened that month.
I'm very excited to be hosting the very first of a series of three classes that will be offered during July and August. I just posted details on the TART & TANGY class here yesterday and stay tuned for the final class announcement of the summer coming very soon! Yes, that's 2 in August ... but the second class will be a mini where we make one, more detailed item.
These pics here (below) are what we are going to make tonight for the Sunny Day Class! We'll be making 6 cards 4.25 x 4.25 size to fit into this adorable tin lunch box!! This class uses the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' kit and lots of fun accessories!! It's one of my favorite things in the new catty ... just LOVE those colors together!! For those of you that know me well, you know that I am a ribbon-aholic ... so I created this tin box with so many ribbons on it that you can no longer see the black handle -- it's so colorful -- like a rainbow of ribbons!
On the menu tonight from TASTEFULLY SIMPLE:
Pasta & Pomodoro Sauce
Perfect Parmesean Biscuits
Cool & Creamy Cucumber Dip
Artichoke & Spinach Dip
Blue Aztec Chips
Berry Buckle Cake
Mango Margaritas ... the BIG GIRL kind ... YIPPIEE!!
I can't wait until tonight -- SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
